I gave 4 stars for quality because this amp is made 100% out of plastic; solid, hard but still plastic. I also give 4 stars for sound (if you take into account the size of the amp and how it plays than it should be 6 stars). For its price and size, the Katana Mini offers more than enough. Overall, I’m happy with the features. Well, I believe Boss knew that as well. This is not the amp you want to drop or leave it lying on the stage at your next gig.

Absolutely not! It’s what you can expect at this price. Besides that, the handle is large and firm enough. The addition of a basic delay is what makes this amp is nifty to practice with. It gives your tone a little bit more space and makes it that much more pleasing to the ear - especially when you're practicing those Van Halen runs on the Brown channel. From Home To Hotel The delay is awesome…absolutely trippy and awesome. Who cares if it doesn’t have reverb it has DELAY!!! You can get a reverb pedal…overdrive pedal…whatever. I have heard a lot about Katana's, so I gave this guy a try when I was looking for a practice amp for a small apartment. I was a great surprise!! I could not be more happy. It has a really nice clear sound, and great volume. But what surprised me it was the overdriven sounds. For low volumes, it truly delivers a nice round warm overdriven sound, that makes you enjoy practicing. Its really simple to use, and even have some on-board effects for even more fun while playing. For me it is a toy, which plays much better than I would except from the toy of that size. I am using it mainly in my house when I want to play not in the room where my standard amp is standing (i.e. in my son's room when I am putting him to sleep, this amp is perfect for this purpose).
