About this deal

The Hunter GTX are recommended for more intenseactivitiesin wild terrain as they offer even more support being a higher boot. The high-cut upper gives greater structure to the boot, as well as protection and support for the foot.

These Italian boots have been designed with precise foot wrapping fit across the whole surface for greater comfort when walking. They are one of the lighter boots in the Forest Light range from Crispi, weighing in at around 630g. With a good height of boot to provide ankle support and a durable outer material, these boots can take on most challenges. We use DHL for our international deliveries and a phone number is required for all overseas deliveries The Wild Evo GTX boot from CRISPI® is an insulated and waterproof boot using the highest quality materials to produce an industry leading product.Crispi combined their real leather outing with a GORE-TEX style lining to create what they call “Dual Tech Lining”. It has an extreme resistance to abrasion and a high thermic insulation which adds to the boot’s durability. The Elastoflex midsole delivers a perfect weight to impact absorption ratio specific to hunting situations and use. For the Attiva Mid, the Elastoflex midsole as well as our board last build provides additional flex stability to give this boot a Flex2 rating. For ankle stability we've incorporated Crispi's proprietary Thermo Wire Technology (TWT) which is an innovative system to provide the upper with greater stability, ankle support and protection without added weight. After 30 days, if a manufacturing fault is identified, we'll adhere to the terms outlined in the Consumer Rights Act 2015 by repairing or replacing the product. The high-cut upper gives freater structure to the shoe, as well as protection and support for the foot, and perfect thermal insulation thanks to the insulating inner lining. A hunter’s feet need to be protected at all costs and there simply isn’t any excuse for taking poor quality footwear on a hunt.

Having a pair of Kenetrek boots myself, I can say firsthand they are very comfortable and fit the shape of my feet better than I could have imagined.

They are all about the mountains, tough terrain, hunting excursions in difficult weather and offering protection to those people working physical jobs such as lineman and wildfire fighters. This fall I spent 86 days across Alaska guiding in the Brooks Range mountains for Dall sheep and grizzly, the boggy Arctic flats for caribou, the rolling lichen-laiden hills of Western Alaska for moose and grizzly, and the timeless bear country of the Alaska Peninsula for brown bear. My entire season hinged on the performance of two pairs of Crispi boots: The Hunter GTX and The Guide GTX.

For the past 21 years, my feet have been laced up in hunting boots more than any other type of footwear. I’ve spent 90-180 days each year guiding hunters in Alaska, and guiding across the West for elk, mule deer, and bighorn sheep. I’ve also been fortunate to do a little hunting here and there of my own. While hunting gear has drastically improved since I started, finding the ultimate hunting boot has eluded me. Billy Molls holds a trophy Brooks Range ram that took 50 miles for his hunter to collect. There tends to be 3 options for outdoor workers when they are choosing the best footwear for the type of work and conditions; 1) Wellington boots, 2) Walking Boots and 3) Walking Boots with Gaiters fitted. Each of the 3 options have positives and negatives. Wellingtons offer great waterproof properties, but very limited ankle support and comfort. Walking boots offer good support and comfort but limited waterproof abilities compared with wellingtons. The option to fit a gaiter to walking boots is an improvement but can be time consuming, fiddly and ultimately, water can stilll creep up from underneath. This was my first experience with Crispi, and I must say that, overall, I was very satisfied with their performance. Both pairs performed equally well, but I found myself preferring the Hunter, mainly do to the extra 2” of upper, which translates into more water clearance, and most of all, more heel stability (this has always an issue for me). With the aforementioned being the only noticeable difference between the two models, I will otherwise review them as though they are the same boot.
