Thought I'd post a review of BH's Double Speed Wax as it's a fairly recent introduction to the shelf of my usual supplier. Perhaps others are also interested in how it performs. Whilst you might not be familiar with Soft99 Fusso Coat, rest assured, it’s an outstanding wax which delivers almost science defying results. Designed and made in Japan, Fusso coat delivers an astonishing 12 months worth of protection. That length of durability is relatively unheard of in a paste wax and is an extremely impressive figure. Add a few drops of wax to a microfibre cloth or pad and apply it to your car by working your way over the body panels in small, overlapping circular motions. That way, you get an even and full coating on your car. Double Speed-Wax is not an abrasive polish, if your paintwork is faded, feels rough or has not been polished for a long period it will be necessary to use an abrasive polish and/or paint clay before application. Once prepared in this way regular application of Double Speed-Wax will maintain a high gloss finish without the need for further use of abrasive polishes.

An easy to use paste wax that provides outstanding durability even after repeated detergent washing. Contains T1 carnauba wax and hydrophobic polymers. The carnauba wax used provides a deep rich glossy, highly water repellent and detergent resistant film. Providing an economic and superior alternative to costly paste waxes which simply do not compete performance wise with this material. This all depends on what product you use. The one thing that can be agreed upon is that the longevity is based on the amount of solidity in the product. As a result, your hard waxes, that require applying to the panel and then buffing, will last the longest. Waxed correctly, your product should protect your car for up to 3 months. Never apply a polish after a wax, doing so will remove the wax and undo all your hardwork and also leave the paintwork unprotected. As you might have guessed, car wax contains natural wax. Don’t be fooled by car waxes that don’t contain any natural wax, as these are technically called paint sealants, no matter what the manufacturer says. Value for money with this wax is utterly astounding and you’ll be left scratching your head as to how it’s possible. First, ensure that the polisher has the softest pad attachment fitted. Then, take your wax bottle and dot the polisher pad with wax at its extremities. Four reasonably small dots should be enough. Then, on a slow speed setting, use the polisher to apply wax across the selected panel.. Again, no need to apply any pressure here either, just guide the polisher across the panel. Thoroughly wash vehicle with hot soapy water, only use salt-free automotive shampoos. Do not use wash and wax products. Dry vehicle using chamois leather, or synthetic equivalent. Paste wax will take the longest to apply but will give the best overall coverage. It will provide a much deeper shine and finish but can easily eat up an entire afternoon.

Occasionally under certain humid application conditions the applied film may bloom after initial application and buffing. The bloom will disappear once the film is fully cured, or it can be removed immediately by a wipe down with a slightly damp buffing cloth.The results however are fantastic and so far on par with R222's Concours Wax even with only 1 layer applied. Beading and sheeting are excellent and have surprised me for the price of the wax. Good level of gloss but the shine isn't as deep as R222. Unsure of degradation at this stage, will update again in a few weeks. A. Yes, you can apply a wax without polishing the car first. Bare in mind though that the wax may not bond to the paint as well as it would do if it were polished first and therefore the wax may not perform as well as it should. Eitherway, adding a layer of wax to your car either with or without polishing first is going to protect the paint and be beneficial.
