Thread the BT cable up to there and connect to the BT module, then mount the module using screw 1428699. Basically the parrot unit sits between the original head unit wiring and the head unit itself. It then uses the power supplied to the head unit to power itself and then when you use it, it cuts the sound from the head unit and sends the sound out through the car speakers. Next remove the 2 triangle's in the stereo surround (small electrical screwdriver), then undo the 2 torx screws on either side and the 2 at the bottom, pull panel forward a small amount and disconnect the three switches at the top, pull the panel forward some more and disconnect the 2 plugs from the climate control, place panel securely out of the way. Connect the connector of the mic lead to the connector of the loom under the steering column somewhere safe so it wont get caught.
bluetooth was an optional extra, and is available with the standard CD6000 as well as the Sony head unit. To retrofit, you need (I did this a couple of weeks ago with these); Now reconnect everything, be careful with the wires for the speakers / mute cable they can become loose at this point. Connect the hands free kit wires to the hands free kit. Test There are two buttons on there stereo, both have a folder on them, and one has an arrow pointing into the folder, the other out of it. I've pressed these while the phone has been paired and it doesn't seem to do anything. Issuing voice commands doesn't seem to do anything either... Provides a Bluetooth hands free phone solution (pauses music when calls are made and received and automatically resumes music when a call is ended) Turn the steering wheel 90 deg. You will see a clip in the top half of the steering column cover, gently push in with a screwdriver, turn steering wheel 180 deg. the other way and do the same. Top half of the steering column can now be rotated towards the dash. To remove the lower half you undo the 7mm AF bolt at the top and the torx screw at the bottom, you can just let this half hang down, without fully removing it.Refitting the bottom half of the cover is a bit fiddly, just make sure the bolt is loose fit in the cover, fit both bolt and torx screw, then fully tighten both. When refitting the top half, ensure the ears at the front are engaged properly. The instructions are fairly straightforward and they do have good support forums. Also these units are fully upgradeable with a bluetooth enabled laptop to allow for firmware upgrades and support for new phones. Phone connectivity was optional on the Focus MK2/MK2.5. This requires the optional Bluetooth/Voicecontrol system. This is a separate system that communicates with the radio over the CANbus network. Whether the car does or does not have the optional Bluetooth/Voicecontrol system can easily be determined by the radio stalk. Cars with Bluetooth/Voicecontrol do have a VOICE button on top of the radio stalk. On cars without Bluetooth/Voicecontrol the phone buttons on the radio act as mute buttons. If a Bluetooth/Voicecontrol module is connected the phone functions and menu of the radio will be active. I have located and testet (whit an instrument that makes a sound when wires are put together) the pusible mic plug under the glovebox. First lift the arm rest (or whatever it's called), then gently pull up the centre consul, starting by the cup holder - you will find a join line inside the cup holder, pull on this and centre consul will come up (makes a horrible noise first time you do it) working forward towards the ash tray. Now, if it asks you for a four digit pin code, every time I have done this (loads of times!), the pin code has been 0000. I realise you may have tried and failed with this, but go through the steps above incase something has been missed, then try it again.

Know your phones bluetooth individual name so you know that it is your phone when you activate it with your stereo, ie "Dave", or "K800i" etc... On second thoughts, why install a bluetooth car kit when you can choose to look like a knob, like this guy? You will need: Using a small screwdriver, push in the small slot situated behind the interior mirror, this will release the light assembly. Undo the 2 torx screws, slid console forward and down.
It is unlikely that you will be able to use the later spec. BT/VC module (8M5T-19C112-AM) as the firmware in your stereo will be to old and it’s very unlikely that Ford have released the firmware to dealers to upgrade stereo’s â€" and I doubt the technician’s ability to do it correctly anyway. Refit the stereo surround, reconnect the battery, switch on stereo, input your key code. Press the voice switch and you should here a beep, 10 secs later you should be asked “Device Please†say “Radio†and the stereo should reply “Radioâ€. This confirms everything is connected properly. If not the usual culprits will be the microphone wires. I have found, on the internet, a picture of a mic plug finis code: 1474203. Should I also use this? On a successful pincode being entered, your phones bluetooth name will come up on the stereo display, and your phone will be "bonded" with your stereo for bluetooth usage.Answer/Reject calls though your original car radio/navigation system via the FF (Fast forward) button. To do this, depending on the make of your stereo, you need to play around with the phone menu. Find out how to debond and get rid of existing stored phones. Looking up under the dash, locate the oblong lip, with a plastic post towards one end - it’s behind the plastic piece on the dash, towards the centre of the car â€" this is where the BT/VC module mounts.
