After all, the OPPO Band 1’s oblong shape is already kind of a pain to deal with (Again, my own opinion) so the rectangular form factor of Band 2 does help in some sense. OPPO Band is based on ColorOS 7.1. If OPPO Band is paired with a smartphone running an earlier version of ColorOS, some functions may work slightly differently. First things first, OPPO Band 2 features a high-in-class 1.57” AMOLED display which delivers excellent viewing experience with its 302ppi pixel density. The on-cell capacitive screen of the band exhibits a maximum brightness of 500 nits. This band's capability comes in handy when you want to use the device in broad daylight.

Speaking of charging – I’ve been wearing this watch from the moment I get up to the moment I go to bed for the last few weeks, and I’ve barely made a dent on the battery. I have been charging it every Sunday ready for the week ahead and it’s not yet gone below 49% from 7 days’ use. That’s with texts, calls, Skype messages, social media notifications and a minimum of four workouts a week all pinging through the watch. To sum it up, the OPPO Band 2 sports a nice screen that displays things how it should be which is clear and concise. With multiple functions and dashboards available for navigation in a single or two swipes, you can pretty much get all the things that the device offers within itself without over-relying on the smartphone app.

It fit into my life and my daily routine with no issues at all. The watch itself doesn’t feel bulky or heavy, and I often forget I’m wearing it. It was easy to set up, the app is simple enough and charging takes no longer than 60 minutes. Upon cutting the tape and pulling out what’s inside, I’m greeted with a design that I could describe as well-utilized since the device itself sits on a thin plastic layer that is covering the accessories part at the bottom. The lightweight materials used for the frame and hardware doesn’t look cheap. This is due to the seamless transition in the frame towards the strap along the top and bottom edges. It does feel plastic-ky but at this price point, it’s forgivable.
