As you can tell, I had a lot of fun playing with the ZEDi-10FX. It offers quite a bit more in hand than many other mixers with this channel count, representing exceptional value for the money. Specifications
There are a few things to keep in mind while using this console. For example, plugging into the second stereo input cuts the mixer’s USB signal — so remember to avoid doing that if you want to keep your mixer connected to your DAW. Allen & Heath told us that users can also configure the DAW return to be on ST3 instead of ST2 through a firmware update. Last but not least, the Allen & Heath ZEDi-10FX is built to last. It should be able to handle most of the reasonable abuse you can throw at it, which is good news considering the people who will buy a small-format console like this are probably people who are also on a budget. Sound You won't need separate direct boxes to connect your guitar or bass to the ZEDi-10FX mixer, unlike many other compact mixers. The first two channels have switchable hi-Z inputs: just hit the switch and connect any electric or acoustic-electric instruments you like. Engage the low-cut filter to help reduce rumble and unwanted low frequencies, then shape your sound to taste with the 3-band EQ. Allen & Heath ZEDi-10FX 10-channel Mixer Features: I currently use it as my main audio interface in my little studio, and it works well enough for that. As an interface it's not as user friendly as the scarlett suite, but it makes up for it in versatility.
I connected the ZED10 FX to my MacBook Pro and it was recognised instantly as a class‑compliant USB audio device, so no drivers were required. However, Allen & Heath suggest trying the third‑party ASIO4ALL driver if you're experiencing any problems on a PC (not that you should be!). Although a power switch is missing, Behringer has to compensate with the phantom power supply. The condenser microphones can also be used. In consideration of your paying any price charged for the Software or product sold by Allen & Heath to You which contained the Software at point of sale (“ Product”) and/or your use of any free Software and your compliance with these terms, Allen & Heath grants to You the non-exclusive right to install and/or use the Software as specified in this EULA and in accordance with any documentation that accompanies the Software or Product online or in paper format (and which includes, without limitation, the terms and conditions upon which Allen & Heath sold the Product to You) (“ Documentation ”). Allen & Heath has never been known for its design, but its gear has never looked bad either. That tradition seems to continue a little with the ZEDi-10FX, which most certainly looks more functional than beautiful. Switch around the Windows and Mac computers, this would give you the option of selecting USB channels 3&4 in the Windows managed ‘layer’. Then select M1-M2-L-R and you will be sending the main mix out to facebook live. Although this mixer is not one of the smallest in its range, it is very comfortable and practical to add to your desk. You can easily move to other places to make recordings with other colleagues. Transfer to a third party: You may make a one-time permanent transfer of this EULA and the Software to another end user. If you do so (i) You may not retain any copy of the Software, (ii) the transfer must include all of the Software (including all component parts, the media and printed materials, any updates and, if applicable, a Certificate of Authenticity) and be subject to this EULA. The transfer may not be an indirect transfer, such as a consignment. Prior to the transfer, the end user receiving the Software must agree to be bound by this EULA and any amendment or addendum to this EULA.
