I love these binoculars. I wanted them primarily for bird watching on the Anglesey coast but we’ve also been able to use them for seal spotting. They are easy to focus, nice & light to use. Perfect. Having worked my way through a number of average quality binoculars over the years I had always promised to get myself a ‘decent’ pair one day. I am glad I decided to step up to Avalon. Having tried them, ‘decent’ seems a bit of an insult, they are excellent. Crystal clear vision and easy to use. The captive lens caps are quite a unique feature and I will be interested to see how long they stay captive in the rough & tumble of outdoor use over the coming years. Fantastic binoculars well worth the money my others were to heavy but these are just right for me and my wife to hold . Excellent viewing spectrum and very easy to use thanks for such a great product.Binoculars arrived within a few days. Took them on my first trip last week and the 10×42 were perfect for my needs. The rubber protection caps are an excellent handy feature. Only complaint would be that the bag is just a tiny bit too tight. If it was just 5% larger then it would be the perfect fit. This is my second pair. They are beautiful and perfect for watching the wildlife in the woods where we live. The second pair was a gift for a dedicated there really is no bad choice. Rather it comes down to which pair has the most strengths and least weaknesses in the areas that are most important to you and the particular way you use your binoculars: The Binos came in two days so very pleased, l am over the moon with them. I am a wildlife photographer and I only want pin sharp pictures, these Binos give me pin sharp images without any fuss at all. I would recommend anybody who wants a really great pair of Binos that won’t break the bank and gives you stunning images in a compact and light unit. They are really worth a look.

Weight: Whilst not as pronounced as the Vortex Razor UHD, these GPO Passion HD’s are on the heavier side when compared to the majority of 42mm binoculars. This is my first pair of binoculars (I’ve always had to borrow someone else’s!) and I’m absolutely thrilled with them. Handy lens covers, easy to focus and hold, and secure strap and case. Pleased I chose the platinum colour – they’re beautiful! I’m using them for birdwatching in the garden at the moment, but looking forward to using them on holiday in Scotland. The field of view is typically measured as an angle, most commonly between six and nine degrees. Eye relief Delighted with the product. Compact, stylish comfortable strap, good lens protectors, attached to the binoculars. The product itself is excellent: light weight for the size; easy to use; optically great – very sharp image near and far; good field of view and magnification. Ideal for general birding usage.

I’m no connoisseur, just wanted something decent to take on walks as a step up from my 8x freebies, which did an ok job. Close Focus– The minimum focus distance is exceptional, which like the FOV adds to the versatility of these optics Happy with these bino’s , clarity of lenses is up there with more expensive brands, focus ring is smooth and precise, eye cups work great with or without glasses on. All round really good quality at a fair price.

Finally got chance to put these through their paces whilst away touring Scotland. They are so simple to use focus is spot on and the clarity of the lenses are truly magnificent add that to the lightweight of the binoculars it’s easy to follow anything at a distance. We are more than happy with our selection. Could not work out which binoculars to get – heard about these – bought them trusting I could return. Arrived promptly. As beautiful as they looked on my computer screen. Been out three times watching birds from a hide in a lagoon area / out in a cliff area / on a boat – found I could easily get the hang of them. Really enjoying using them. So great when you are a novice. Bought these to use on a safari. Had an old 8×40 bulky set from another brand which i didnt really care for and frankly never used. Now that i wear glasses i dont care for binoculars at all BUT these were really fantastic. The images were crystal clear and for safari biewing they were truly percect. A friend used them and bought a pair himself mid safari. Love them!highlighted in red are weaker aspects when compared to the others on the list. Note: this does not mean that this is bad, only that in this area they not quite as good as the best. My Thoughts & Recommendations:

Previously I have only owned budget zoom binoculars that were very poor by comparison, these are excellent value and are equal to those twice the price that I have looked through in the past….very pleased and happy to reccomend ! I believe that binoculars are more than just optical instruments. They are windows to the wonders of nature and the universe. My aim is to share my love and knowledge of binoculars with you. Here you will find: Only minor downside is a damaged case, but Procular are sourcing a replacement and will be sending this to me shortly.Had various new pairs of binoculars both cheap and expensive over the years due to bu,ping, dropping and loss. Tried other binoculars before choosing these. Clarity is brilliant and great over long distances. Easily adjustable between my husbands long sightedness and my short sightedness. Comfortable feel in the hands, light to carry . From the few occasions I have managed to use them I have noted they are sleek, compact and very easy to use, providing high quality images of the natural world.
