BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense.

There isn't a lot to say about that series, and whether or not you should give it a try is summed up by that question: "Do you want to follow a cute op girl doing cute op thing in an MMO with other op and sometimes also cute friends ?". On September 20, 2022, it was confirmed that animation studio Silver Link is returning to produce BOFURI Season 2. The company is best known for anime like The Misfit of Demon King Academy, Masamune-kun no Revenge, Strike The Blood, and Strike Witches.UPDATE: Funimation Titles Now Available on Crunchyroll (3/16)". Crunchyroll. March 1, 2022 . Retrieved March 21, 2022. Silver Link still shows their promise in this show by pumping out the usual sakuga moments that are of its signature since Season 1, and it is replicated here to good effect, I'll give it this much if the studio's in-house directors Mirai Minato and Shin Oonuma (chief) knows what kind of game they are playing with Bofuri's adaptation. The one disappointment for me though, would be the OST. Junjou no Afilia's 2nd OP for Bofuri just sounds pedestrian when compared to the amazing 1st OP graced for Season 1 that's just as iconic and still having that whimsical effect, even 3 years later. The ED, like Season 1 however, is forgettable at best and isn't noteworthy. Bofuri: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense., Vol. 3 (manga)". Yen Press . Retrieved September 19, 2021. The first season of the anime was decent, as it had a clear direction and a "little" interesting aspect, despite not being an Isekai. A manga adaptation by Jirō Oimoto began serialization on the seinen magazine Comp Ace by publisher Kadokawa Shoten in May 2018. The manga is also licensed by Yen Press. [11] No.

Saikyou Tank no Meikyuu Kouryaku: Tairyoku 9999 no Rare Skill-mochi Tank, Yuusha Party wo Tsuihou sareru 1 User In season two, they rush frantically from level to level, with level four (the Japanese shinto-themed one) barely lasting for longer than a single episode, with the boss to get to level 5 treated like an absolute joke and defeated off-screen. Despite the huge increase in art and animation quality, the framing and choreography of the fights feels much more plain than what I'd come to expect from season one. If there's one piece of advice I've give for a hypothetical Season 3, it'd be to slow the hell down and let the characters/events breathe in the narrative. Condensing content is unavoidable when adapting a light novel series into an anime so arguably Silver Link has put the focus where it needs to be: character development and letting these cute girls show off their personalities with unconventional gaming. is something most people don't understand. There are countless problems in both seasons, namely: having too many people, abilities and places. With a more concise story, it would be much easier to see everything good about this show. The best parts of the show for me are two things which many similar action manga fail at. First is the power scaling. Throughout the show, it never feels like the main character or any other characters are completely out of reach. Yes, it is clear that the main character is undoubtedly the best player, but the show repeatedly poses challenges to the characters which show the main character is not invincible and not much better than everyone else. The primary example of this is in the dynamics with the second main character (voiced by the best VA ima), where the main character is consistently outperforming her, but on many occasions, a threat, battle or challenge is shown to both of them which is only completed because of either the teamwork of each of their strengths or one of (either of) their strengths. So cute! Maple is an amateur just playing the game for fun, creatinga character with extremely skewed stats (putting 100% of feir stat points toward defense). Feir play style is counterintuitive and slow, anddraws the attention of a chat board because fe was seen peacefully meditating in the forest whilemonsters swarmed over fem. Fe's adorable. The chat board, who just want to support fem from the shadows, are also adorable. The admins, even though they're jerks who constantly wish to nerf fem, are also adorable in their own way. It throws moe elements (uWus, hahas... You know them) and mixes it with your favorite gaming and isekai elements (OP protagonist, stereotypical guild members, lots of gaming bullshit... You know them too) except the harem stuff. The Anime never goes to Another strength of the show is the development of the characters, particularly Maple and her close friends, and the heart-warming way they interact and support one with one another. The show also explores the different strategies and abilities of the various guilds and players, which is fascinating to see. I also appreciate how the show explores the different strategies and abilities of the various guilds and players, and how they adapt to new challenges throughout the eps.
