Vigor167 35b Modem Quick Start Guide - DrayTek

Anyone used the Vigor 167 with FTTC. I tried Bridge mode – the software refers it to simplistically as modem mode ie no advanced settings like the previous gen had. b. The default Modem Code is 5.12.24.0. However, it is possible to select two other Modem Codes, being: The Vigor167 is a modem for supervectoring profile 35b and all common VDSL and ADSL variants via profile 17a, with and without vectoring, up to DSL light with 384 kbit / s. The modem is suitable for both older connections and the new All-IP BNG connections. If your end device does not support VLAN tagging, our Vigor167 modem also compensates for this and can do the tagging for you. DrayTek's Vigor 167 is an ideal modem to connect your DrayTek Vigor router, or any Router and Firewall, to a DSL line. The only means of running the second "router" ...with all devices on that having same network as the primary... is to disable the routing and DHCP functions, turning it into a switch. Any wifi features are tied to the switch so nothing to configure there.Introducing the very latest in the DrayTek Vigor 160 range, the Vigor 167! An ideal alternative to the popular Vigor 130 Modem router, the Vigor 167 offers all the same features and functionalities with 2 Gigabit LAN network ports and a built-in basic router with DCHP server.

any client behind Openwrt can reach the Draytek on 192.168.0.1 (or any of Draytek's devices on that network) (unless something really screwy on your configs but, out of the box, ANY pair of routers will behave like this. Good result for Modem Code 5.12.18.16. Up over 6 days now- a record for our NBN FTTN connection. So I'll leave the posts there; worth trying this Modem Code. It also is not necessary. Any client device on the OPenWRT should be able to reach the draytek interface as the OPenWRT ROUTES any request it cannot handle..upwards to the Draytek.

I recently bought one of these (Draytek 167) – plugged it in, and realised it was in bridge mode already – which was why I bought it

Unfortunately this Model does not have a scheduled reboot feature due to its main function being a bridge modem. May be in the future Draytek will include but for the latest firmware to date i.e 5.2.1 . There is no scheduled reboot either in bridge or router mode. There is also no CLI command to do a sys tem reboot. I will make a wish request for Australian users but there will be no ETA.Can i ask what MTU yours set? Also did you make ANY changes at all to your settings when connecting this up?

Vigor Router? - DrayTek How do I log into a Vigor Router? - DrayTek

So your OPenWRT router is a client to the Draytek on one of the LAN ports. SO Draytek allocates and routes to it via LAN1. if you open the web console (middle button on the top right next to the floppy disk symbol) and type vdsl status it will tell you the path mode and interleave. Hi folks and Mr Dreytek, I've just replaced a DM200 (which was apparently confusing poor Mr NBN due SRA ?!?!) with a Dreytek Vigor167. Upgraded it to latest software (5.2), connecting was easy enough, and all seems to happy. NBN recommends to use the NBN supplied modem which does provide power to the DPU to interface your broadband router to FTTC. The chipset is currently not proven on Aust NBN , I could be wrong , but if it performs the same as the Lantiq chipset on the Vigor 130 , then it should be all right and , especially if the Vigor 167 is using super vectoring.Overall, conformity has also been increased, with ITU-T G.992.1 ADSL G.dmt, G.992.3 ADSL2 G.dmt.bis, G.992.5 ADSL2 +, G.993.1 VDSL, G.993.2 VDSL2, G.993.5 vectoring, G.997.1 supported. The Vigor167 is characterized by its diverse compatibility with most DSL variants and profiles. It supports everything from DSL Light to the most common VDSL and ADSL variants, such as Profile 17a, with and without vectoring, to Profile 35b supervectoring. The Vigor167 comes with a new chipset and supports Annex-A and Annex-B in one device for the first time. All DSL connection cables for various regions are already included in the scope of delivery. For example TAE-F-to-RJ11 cable, RJ11-to-RJ11 cable, RJ11-to-RJ45 cable.
