Confirming the recall of the Kinder products, the Food Standard Agency said: "This is in connection with a potential link to a salmonella outbreak. A number of these cases have been young children." Ferrero, who make Kinder chocolate, first took precautionary measures to recall Kinder Surprise eggs over the weekend - but now the list has been extended. It added: "To reduce the risk of any further illness, consumers should not eat the products listed in the recall alert and they/the parent or guardians of children should follow the risk advice within it." The Food Standards Agency has said the recall of Kinder Surprise eggs has been extended to more products - including Kinder Mini Eggs and Kinder Egg Hunt Kits.A further recall has been added for 100g Kinder Surprise eggs, including all dates from April 20, 2022 up to and including August 21, 2022. Chocolate manufacturer Ferrero says it has recalled the products as a “precautionary measure” and advised people not to eat them. Kinder has issued an urgent warning after recalling more chocolate products - including Mini Eggs - over fears of salmonella.
