About this deal

As a series of horrifying events unfold, it soon becomes apparent that Verenmore is hiding a twisted past riddled with dark secrets. After students witness an apparent suicide within the castle grounds, a disturbing century-old mystery steeped in blood starts to unravel and Cornina and Vad find themselves inexplicably tethered to one another in the hope of uncovering the truth. also maybe a disclaimer: you know the repetitiveness in The Predator, how for some reason it could never just be Tristan, it was always *deep ominous voice* ᴛʀɪsᴛᴀɴ ᴄᴀɪɴᴇ. yeah, same thing here but Vad is *phantom of the opera music plays* 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖘𝖎𝖑𝖛𝖊𝖗-𝖊𝖞𝖊𝖉 𝖉𝖊𝖛𝖎𝖑. in case you can't read that stupid ass font to catch the stupid ass name, it's THE SILVER-EYED DEVIL ok 😙 he just didn't have the devil qualities to pull that off; still liked him tho It's about this girl who gets an invitation to this school in basically this hidden type castle, there she uncovers some truths that weren't expected when she arrived, she found love, a new meaning to certain things, and answers. It was filled with intrigue, a little mystery, and a keep you on your toes almost forbidden type of love with a student and her teacher (to me the age gap wasn't a big deal at all, she’s 21, he’s 27) For how much she was warned to stay away from him and how much he pushed her away, she started to look a little pathetic giving in to him so easily

The unique world-building was different from what I usually see in darker books, and I loved every second of it. The plot twists and the whole gothic vibe were so intriguing! Steer clear of me, little crow,” he muttered, his eyes piercing, flaying her open. “You might be a luring siren but I’m no ordinary sailor.” While the book was dark, surprisingly, the best part was the romance. There were also many sub-genres like rom-com and many others where you usually need help finding the amount of romance and chemistry you want. Still, in this book, the attraction, the want and the love was AH-MAZING. Once upon a time, there lived a girl named Fallon who was taken far away from home shortly after she was born.USA TODAY and international bestselling author, RuNyx enjoys creating universes and setting them on fire. She loves to travel, wants to adopt a dog before 30, and learn different languages. When she's not writing, she's reading, traveling, meditating, daydreaming, and most of all, procrastinating.

Staying,” she told him, glancing down at the letter in her hand and stuffing it in the brown leather bag that had belonged to her grandmother. It had been the only thing she had got from anyone besides her mother. An enigma his entire life, Vad Deverell likes being a closed book but knowing exactly everything that happens in the university. A part-time professor working on his thesis, Vad has been around long enough to know the dangers the castle possesses. The Gothikana Hardcover Edition: featuring spray-painted edges, a foiled case stamp, gorgeously detailed endpapers, an updated map and deliciously moody art throughout. IT'S NOT FORBIDDEN IF THE TEACHER MAKES IT A HABIT TO SLEEP WITH STUDENTS. IT JUST MAKES IT PREDATORY AND CREEPY I’ve been wondering how to best describe this book, other than a gothical romance which is what’s written on the tin! it’s a bit like a dark steamy version of Hogwarts minus the magic but with a forbidden romance in the mix. Set in Mount Verenmore, a university no one seems to have heard of. One which invites slightly troubled young adults to study there. People have disappeared every five years for over a hundred years. No one in the nearby village ventures up to the mysterious school situated at the top of a mountain because of the rumours of students disappearing, suicides, and the hauntings. Little Corvina had heard all the rumors, but she knew they were untrue. Her mother wasn’t a witch or a freak. Her mother was her mother. She just didn’t like people. Corvina didn’t like people either, but then most people in town weren’t very likable.

this book made me miss tristan's silent ass 😭😭 i complained in my predator review about how tristan needs to up his dirty talk game (my precious boy was straight up mute lmao), but vad was the other end of the extreme in that he would not stfu 😩 he was doin too much Vad was the type of hero I would normally fancy: jealous, possessive... silver-eyed, too. 🤤 Yet, he low-scored on an IQ-test. I'll PASS, send me the next one. 🚬 I was so excited about this. The plot seemed great and the description of the castle was really nice and I wanted to get fully immersed in the story. I tried to read The Predator before and couldn't because the writing was bad. This wasn't the case in this one. I thought the writing was much better and it flowed nicely, even though some sentences were still stilted and a bit juvenile. Kudos for the improvement though! Just some thoughts and things I didn't like about the book, but it was sadly such a disappointment. You see me.” Her lips trembled, the realization that this man saw her, truly saw her, and still watched her with that look in his eyes making something inside her shift. “I see you.” His silver gaze seared her. “I’ve always seen you.”
