All I know is my one shot at survival is the demon stalking me, and he doesn't just want my body - he wants my soul. My kindle says it takes 7 hours to read this book, but I promise it is so gripping it’ll feel like you spent no time reading it at all. There were certain limits to this world building. The reader doesn’t get to explore much outside the information that is available to Rae, but that’s what makes the plot line interesting. While reading, I was definitely reminded of Mystic Falls (The Vampire Diaries), Forks (Twilight) and Gatlin (Beautiful Creatures), so if you like books that seem to have a depressed blue tint on them (in a good way), Her Soul To Take is definitely the book for you. The fact that the demon she accidentally summoned is a quite attractive man with the tendency to make Rae’s blood boil in the best way doesn’t really help with that.But when she accidentally summons a demon and gets chased by monsters and people alike, she finds out that she was meant for something else. Death is meant to come on a chariot of broken dreams or in the dark trenches of a storm, not in love letters and gifts. Three people from families who have received the mark of an old God so that their sacrifices can be returned to him.
