Nevertheless is a great buy. Boss should make all their perfums like this, projection staying power, scent, silage, etc etc etc. It doesn't smell fresh, spicy, floral, interesting, intriguing, original or even natural. It smells like a hodge-podge of synthetic notes which I suppose *could* be an apple, or mint or lavender if one exercised a suspension of disbelief. But to me it's just a jumble of unidentifiable smelly things. im not sure what to think of this. yes, its synthetic but in a masculine way. Like many of the 90s fragrances were. HUGO Menswear presents sharp cuts and clean designs that stand outside of the status quo. The HUGO man’s only rule when it comes to style: being his authentic self and nothing else. I just *love* this on my husband. It is so pleasant and comforting, fresh and lovely, discreet, unpretentious and at the same time sophisticated. Not perfumey, not loud nor in your face.

The opening is a very juicy minty apple accord with lavender. It's a bit barbershop and very fresh. Love it. Why? dunno. Hate all the generic wimpy juices it spawned. But Hugo Boss Hugo is where the sea breeze originated first & moved on to Sahara desert.A very synthetic scent, but not unpleasant. Slightly dry and bitter apple is sweetened with a strong lavender base, and freshened with mint. Somewhere in the mix there are slight floral and woody undercurrents on a musky base. I honestly think this fragrance is the best Hugo Boss scent. Better than any of the flankers and better than any of the other offerings. It’s exactly like the original EDT, with greater performance, at the cost of being a little less fresh at the outset. It’s a really good daily wear scent with a lovely apple note on application that dries down to a fresh green woods and lavender fragrance. I've worn this many times since I bought my first full bottle (my 7 yr old daughter seems to like it), but I can't quite seem to put my finger on whether or not I love this fragrance. Sometimes I thoroughly enjoy smelling it on my wrist, other times I want to wash it off and put something else on. At least one time, I got a slight headache from it.

This scent is all about the apple. Yes there are other notes, but this is a fresh-sour apple fragrance. Think Granny Smith apple. Don´t worry, it´s light on the sour side. Timless classic from Hugo Boss. Fresh, green, flowery-pine scent, good for everyday use. It’s bit sythetic, but I like it. As most of the perfume which came from the Hugo house, not an outstanding fragrance but very wearable and safe. The opening is wonderful, in the top I can smell most of the notes, but the apple-lavender-mint combination is the dominant. The first 10-15 minutes are great, but after the scent going to bit unpleasent. The mid notes are too soapy-flowery, this part of the fragrance is not too good, but few hours later changing again and I’ll get a cool base with the fir and cedar. My biggest problem, unforunatelly I can’t get great longevity, maybe just 5 hours on my skin… even so safe and clear stuff, I like it…This energising fragrance combines crisp green apple, vibrant aromatic notes and the smoky scent of fir balsam. Very fresh spicy, I got a Dior Sauvage vibe(I really like Sauvage as well),not really that much similar in smell but the feeling they give in general,though this one is more fresh and less spicy and totally greener with a slight hint of sweetness. After a shower and a shaving this would be excellent, it is sexy as well.

It was a sample and I'll wear it once in a while and finish it. There is some spice in it, too, but not nearly enough for my liking. I like the fragrance but the only bad thing about this one is that it leaves bad yellow stains on white shirts which never get cleaned after many washes :( Sharp and airy. Smells like an apple and pine tree hand sanitizer. Very sharp for the first two hours, pleasant for the next two hours after which it becomes too subtle to notice. I was 18 when i wore the OG and i love this even more now at 42 and i like scents pushed for all ages. It was a strong scent, but in a good way, and i loved it! I would sometimes get out of the shower in the morning, dress in my expensive clothes cause i was the only person in my school that not only had 1 job, i had 2, and id spend a good chunk of my weekend playing the newly released Playstation 1, the next-gen games blew my mind then, being able to finally eat whatever food i wanted to buy and wearing all these sexy clothes paired with this frag and dating the hottest girls that i could find in the city is the nostalgia this frag gives me when i smell it.So, as you smell it from the sprayer, it does smell exactly like it hands down. Once you spray it on to yourself, what you notice is, what @Beetus before me stated: "The darker notes intensified" As a new teenager getting into fragrances, if you're looking for a strong, masculine, long lasting, almost bitter fragrance? By a great reputable brand... This is for you. By bitter, obviously not bitter, but the scent profile contains quite harsh tones, especially in the opening, however that can literally be perfect for a strong, masculine scent, meaning it obviously isn't as light as your expected summer fragrance or gourmand whatsoever, but it has the assertiveness and obvious presence going perfect with a confident man. However, I don't think this would be ideal for more relaxed scenarios, like lounging around at home but realistically it's pretty much versatile enough to get away with anywhere else as long as you don't choke anyone out with it. Refreshing and invigorating, HUGO MAN is a scent that inspires confidence and demands action, presented in a matte box created from 98% recycled paper with no cello wrapping for a more sustainable approach. But at the heart of that heart, at the core of that core, is the lavendar, and that's what makes this fragrance just shine. The lavendar is the bridge between the apple-mint and the patchouli-cedar, and it's a perfectly balanced transitional element.

The apple is the star of course. Its a fresh, green, apple scent. Its very safe, i blind bought and i love it. It lasts long. Perfect for a hot day. Its very inexpensive and Overall its worth owning. Also the bottle kind of reminds you of a canteen which is cool. My bottle (3rd) from the 90's projects beastly although sadly it's almost empty. I also get a fruity cherry vibe which I don't see in the note breakdown. Anyway as others have said this is a gem and my favorite from the house. At first that mix of green apples, lavender and mint (maybe hint of fir as well) makes me nauseous. It smells like a mojito with apple vinegar. Later on you can smell more fir and cedar so it's much nicer but still... My problem with this scent is mint! I can't stand mint. I think it's great when we talk about toothpaste but not male scent. It's so strong that it's not fresh any more but annoying. Its pleasant enough, but sometimes I get a whiff of something I don't like at all. I get the green apple and mint, but I've never sensed any basil and lavender (which is fine, since I really like the smell of apples). There's something here I don't like but I don't smell it all the time (I guess). Hugo Extreme is a new version of the classic Hugo Man fragrance from 1995, which comes in Eau de Parfum concentration and lifts the fragrance to a new level with an intensive, modern twist. The composition opens with the iconic freshness of green apple now intensified to the maximum. The heart develops with an increased aromatic character of lavender, sage and geranium, revealing its modern masculine side. The base notes include cedar and fir resin.

This version seems to be an update of the classic Hugo fragrance. When I smelled it I immediately felt the DNA of the original fragrance, although it seems to me that it has been polished a bit, as it feels less harsh than the original. Its aroma is very pleasant, for those who know the original it could be said that its aroma is almost the same, it is based on lavender, mint, wood and pine, although in this Hugo Man the apple note is less prominent.
