Sarah Miles was within a week of her 19th birthday and had answered the advertisement for a weekend gardener in the local paper, so that she could get some experience before she went to horticultural college later that year. All her friends from school had taken a long break and gone trekking in Thailand, but Sarah was an only child and had been raised in an orphanage, so she could not afford the several thousand pounds that her friends planned to spend on their half year in Thailand.

Kat glanced at Deputy Bayless, looking for any trace of insincerity in his face. It had been ten minutes since Bayless and the store manager had freed her and the young cashier from their bindings. Not only had Bayless seen Kat in the compromising position, but the store manager had as well. She had noticed the twisted pleasure on the manager's face as he worked on untying the young cashier. Ever so often he would glance over at Kat, which made the young sheriff cringe with humiliation. She noticed that Bayless took his time freeing her.

Miss Jones was a divorced lady of some substantial means who lived in a huge house on the outskirts of Esher. She was stunningly attractive, with long blond hair, perfect features and a tanned and well toned body. The robber kneeling over the sobbing young woman shook his head with disappointment as he gazed at the girl's private area. "Damn," he said, looking up at his companion. "She's definitely not a natural blonde." Sarah had never had a boyfriend, despite her good looks. Although not a classic beauty, she had gleaming blue eyes, an elfin like face with high cheekbones, framed by shoulder length silky blond hair and a smile that won people over. Her body was toned by sport and swimming and she had no shortage of admirers from the male students at the college. She had always told herself that there would be time for that when she left college. If she was honest with herself, she had never really been interested in men, and wondered from time to time if she might be a lesbian. The thought crossed her mind again as she suddenly realised that Miss Jones had noticed her staring. Kat grunted dejectedly into her gag. She was sweating and exhausted. Though she could not be sure, she guessed it had been more than two hours since the two robbers had departed, leaving her and the female cashier bound and gagged in the office room of the Stop n' Save convenience store. When the two brothers realized they could not pay the prize money for the brass band contest, they came up with a plan...

He dumped it out onto the floor. It contained what looked like miles of rope, and some white cloths. At that moment, I realized that I was about to be tied up, and possibly gagged.I´m afraid, Miss Peters, that it is my duty to ask you to accompany me to the police station to answer some questions regarding your possible involvement in terrorist activities,’ he said, speaking even more slowly and deeply so that he sounded like a knell of doom. The determined sheriff was in the middle of yet another bout of desperate struggling! She had remained still for over an hour but had finally given in to her emotions. She was damned if she was going await rescue by anyone!
