This is a 2-5 player game that works well at all player counts. It’s fun for whoever plays, whether that be children and family, new, or regular gamers. That concept works so well, thanks in large part to the theme, highlighted by the game’s magnificent table presence. Even if dexterity games aren’t your jam, anyone who sees this being played would be tempted to stop and watch. It’s not just that it looks nice; the components are heavy, durable, and satisfying to maneuver. So, how do you decide what to add and where to place it? At the start of each turn, you turn over the card on the top of the pile to reveal the instructions. This is so simple, but it's genius as the random generation increases the replay-ability. The revealed card explains how to place the object. In Men at Work instruction cards are double sided. When drawn, players will turn them over to reveal instructions they must complete. If you like to keep a small, finely curated collection of games, then Men at Work might fit that perfect niche of a dexterity game like it did for me. If you already have a dexterity game you really like and you don’t play it that often, Men at Work might not have enough there to completely change your stance on the genre. If you can get a group of 3-5 players together regularly enough, it’s probably worth it. If you do most of your gaming with 2 players, there might not be enough here for you. Personally, I just have too many other 2-player games I’d recommend before Men at Work.Thirty-one years later and I still can’t believe Men at Work successfully added `Vegemite sandwich` into the lyrics of a hit song. But we’re not here to talk about the Australian National Anthem, we’re here for Men at Work the board game, a 2-4 player hands-on building construction game from Pretzel Games. Foreman – In this version of the game, players are dealt 2 instruction cards during setup. Players use these cards if they do not want to carry out an instruction card they’ve drawn. As an extra rule, players must also place any workers on the highest girder of the chosen colour. Having this alternative victory condition is awesome because it creates both positive and negative moments of tension.
