About this deal

The main downsides (for me) of the Redragon were it's weight and poor grip. The ring finger and pinky rests were too sloped to get a firm grip. Request: If it's okay by you, can we get an original story with a naga and a cervitaur!Reader? Maybe something where the naga first just sees Reader as prey, maybe even eating them, but gets a bit of guilt by Reader's words, and ends up letting them go. Yup. Buy new, actual quality microswitches like japanese Omron D2F-01F, Kailh GM 8.0 or Kailh GM 4.0 for about 1-2 USD/piece, and solder them in after you desoldered whatever crap Razer put in it on the assembly line. For 5 USD tops, you have a better mouse than it ever was, and it will stay that way for a considerably longer time. Years. : D Overall, the Razer Naga design has not changed a lot, it has a small resting place for your finger on the right side, and the general shape of the mouse fits nicely in your hand. The Naga X is 119.13 x 74.50 x 42.93mm, and it weighs about 110g. While the Razer Nago Pro has three interchangeable left side plates, the Naga X has a non-removable side with 12 buttons. The grid of 12 buttons is arranged in three rows of four, popular for MMO games. Each button is individually angled for optimal positioning and access and is labeled 1 through 12.

Despite the fact that it has so many inputs, it would have been nice if Razer put more Naga Pro premium features in the Naga X. Specifically, I wish more mice had tilting scroll wheel inputs, which are great for macros and miscellaneous keys in custom setups. I also wouldn’t have minded if Razer kept more RGB lighting. As it stands, only the scroll wheel and side pad numbers light up. I assume these features were taken out to cut down on weight and/or price, but they would have gone a long way towards making the mouse feel more substantial. With only weight and the standard MMO side pad to set it apart, the Naga X feels a bit basic on paper.

Given the MMO moniker of the mouse, it's best to go to the source. I loaded up World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XIV to test the mouse out. By default, the 12 thumbpad buttons are all bound to corresponding number keys, with the 10 button being 0, and the 11 and 12 buttons being the minus and equal keys, respectively. This means the default setting has the standard MMO hotbar bound to the thumbpad. The Corsair Scimitar RGB elite is three inches wide. It features a groove for your right finger on the textured area on the right side. Compared to some other FPS mice, the Corsair has a different ergonomic feel, which is a pleasant one. The Corsair is 119.4mm x 77mm x 42.4mm, and it weighs about 122g.

That's doubly true when it comes to day-to-day work, though you can get pretty creative with bindings if you want to. Still, unless you play MMOs, you're probably better served by a more standard mouse layout unless you have some unique workflows. The Naga X is also much lighter than its siblings in the Naga range, which is great for anyone who prefers keeping their mouse as light as possible. It weighs in at 85 grams, which is far below the 117 grams of the Naga Pro. It's also wired, which is still the gold standard for many PC gamers, even as wireless tech continues to get much better. Also, you can easily assign patterns to the RGB lighting zones. The iCue software also provides you with a very helpful calibration tool. Fast forward to 2021, and Razer now has a quadruple threat of Naga mice, ranging from wired to wireless and even on for left-handed people. Two of the entries, the Razer Naga Pro and Razer Naga Trinity, cater to gamers outside of the MMO space with swappable side panels with different button layouts.I've been taking story requests on what types of monsters and beasts to write about on tumblr and such, here are the products! He likes seeing you break apart for me.”

I'm trying something new. I'm starting a series for my dear monster lovers. Each fic will have their own tags so the reader knows what they're getting in to.My fix was to leave the 7-9 buttons unbound. If I have problems telling the difference between the second and third rows, it's better to just remove the third row. This gave me nine buttons to work with, which worked out pretty well overall. I was able to hit my standard rotation in both WoW and FFXIV with little issue. Of course, when buying a mouse with a 12-button thumbpad, the goal is to have 12 easily usable side buttons. During testing, I found that hitting 1-3 and 10-12 were pretty easy, as they occupy the outside edges of the thumbpad. The issue was in the 4-9 buttons. They're simply too close together, and the differentiation in angle isn't big enough to consistently hit the right button. The buttons are different heights, but the differences are so slight that it doesn’t matter. It's very easy to press the wrong buttons in the middle rows. The shape is perfect for me. I'm about 90% palm grip, 10% finger tip grip with medium-sized hands. My thumb sits mostly on the 5 button with the 1-3 row easily reachable with my thumb's tip. My ring and pinky fingers sit comfortably, and my pinky is able to provide lots of grip without cramping. In general, the grooves of this mouse are very ergonomic and satisfying. The biggest change is that the Naga X dramatically reduces the weight of the Pro, dropping from 117 grams to a mere 85 grams. It’s not quite an ultralight, but still feels surprisingly meager given its large size. At the same time, it’s solid shell is structurally solid, with no creaking even when I’m trying to make it happen. This slimming down is a welcome upgrade from the Pro which felt downright heavy in comparison to Razer's other recent mice. Lets be real, we'd be so into it if we had our own naga. So here you are, accidentally left on Earth and just happen to stumble upon a nest! And it smells sooooo nice :D First person POV. Language: English Words: 3,032 Chapters: 1/1 Comments: 2 Kudos: 55 Bookmarks: 4 Hits: 1,918 Gaming mice have evolved over the past years. But we are finally getting some amazing MMO mice now.Since 2009, Razer has offered the Naga line of MMO mice, each competing to be the best gaming mouse for MMO players. Each model has offered between 6 and 12 buttons, with updates over the years. Enter 2021, and we have the Razer Naga X with a 12-button thumbpad, RGB and the latest in Razer mouse technology. You go for a walk in the woods to help your mental and emotional state. Let's just say you get a lot more than you bargained for. In contrast, the Logitech G600 has what Logitech calls a "dual-dish" design, helping differentiation with “two carefully positioned sets of six buttons.” The Corsair Scimitar Pro RGB offers far more space between the buttons and an alternating texture pattern for each row. Both options add more variation, and Razer should be more willing to imitate some good ideas. I bought the Corsair Scimitar RGB Elite, for its grip and adjustable number pad. At the time, I could not find a mouse under about 120g. I thought the mouse felt okay, definitely better than the Redragon regarding grip. Unfortunately, it was still heavy, and the number buttons were too easy to press (many accidental presses). The rubber grip is also a little rough/pokey. Needless to say, i was having some regrets about the mouse's price tag.
