About this deal

Definitely recommended if you like the tropes of shojo being flipped on their heads. I envy you if you haven't read this yet and you get to do so for the first time. Savor it! Comprising four volumes, Romantic Killer is sure to become a favorite current release for fans of romantic comedies.” ~KGUN9 News Overall, I feel my review is harsh even though I didn't intend it to be. While I'm full of biases for a ship I want to see sail, I would be curious enough to try the third volume just so I can see more of Kazuki and Anzu together, whether in a "romantic" way because of the imp's doing or just them chilling at the house with their everyday shenanigans.

Love the concept of this manga it is super cute and funny read! Feel like vol 2 is still in the like stage building portion so nothing progressed to much but still super looking forward to future volumes. Recommend if you are are looking for a fun humorous new series to start! Anzu herself remains amazing, just wanting to be left alone with her cat, and her attitude and happiness with her life on her own terms make her a five star heroine in a three star story. I guess we’ll see how it shakes out, but she’s amazing. One thing this series does really well is depict friendships, and gosh darn do I ever enjoy that. This volume gets a little wordy at times, and the speech bubble placement for who is talking and when is not the clearest set up, but this book oozes character and makes me easily forget the layout flaws. I love how it has taken rather one note type stereotypes of characters and made them something more through the relationships they build. Love love love the family dynamic being set up between Junta, Anzu, and Kazuki. But more than that and more than this just being reverse harem which can also be draining at times - its just hysterical. Obviously she is going to fall in love with one of the guys (though I am rooting for the girl friend), you can tell she really has zero interest and not just being "I'm not like other girls". She's genuinely hilarious, sweet and overall just a phenomenal character. And the boys are phenomenal too - and although I do still have a favorite, I couldn't tell you who she ends up with. This was a ton of fun! Read physical copies from the library, and looking forward to volume 3. The types of clichés are familiar or close enough to ones from western rom-coms that this can be loved and appreciated even if you don’t read manga or watch anime.

Momose’s art is lively, loaded with over-the-top expressions and some great visual gags.” ~Otaku USA Magazine I think I liked this a little better than the first volume. Anzu's personality really starts to form in this volume when the first she seemed more focused on losing all her stuff. This volume also introduces a 3rd potential romantic trope, but I'm not sure how I feel about them. He's a rich kid who thinks he can win Anzu's affection by buying her stuff. Despite her best efforts, Anzu’s harem keeps growing at an alarming rate. Practically at the same rate that her personal space dwindles around her, coincidentally. And despite her other best efforts, she might be starting to like the changes to her life. And, despite Riri’s “best” efforts, love could be in the air… Shōnen Jump+ (in Japanese). Shueisha. Archived from the original on December 2, 2019 . Retrieved August 22, 2022. Or, you know, not. Unlike some other series I’ve read, this one is shaping up to pull into the station with an outcome I won’t dislike either way it plays out. Which is no mean feat considering my issues with the first volume. But mostly she just wants her cat, her chocolate, and her games, which is frankly making her one of the most relatable heroines ever in the history of manga. Her selection of shirts (and underwear) is beyond reproach. But I'm OFFENDED by chapter 15. Hoshino's fashion is perfect! You do NOT need to "fashionable" when you go shopping. But chapter 16 did bring up a potential story hook involving Kazuki, chapter 17 hilariously introduces a new romantic interest (he's an ass), and chapter 18 makes me question if Riri's implanted memories are actually real and Hoshino is just that oblivious. a b c d Komatsu, Mikikazu (August 22, 2022). "Romantic Killer Comedy Manga Gets Netflix Anime Adaptation on October 27". Crunchyroll . Retrieved August 22, 2022. Fav scene of this was the panty thief, I love how absolutely FIERCE Anzu can be. I must have re-read it five times when I first came to it. (I have since re-read the book itself at least as many times. It just makes me so happy, siiiigh.) I definitely disliked the latest guy we meet. I noticed I sort of skimmed over his parts because I just didn't care for his actions or general attitude, no matter how hard he "changed" to get to know Anzu by the end. If I wanted to see more of a "new character," then please give us more Junta as I genuinely like his character. I can honestly say that he fits a lot of the cliche childhood friend tropes, but rather than it being "annoying," it's enduring.

National trade advertising in School Library Journal, Booklist, Publisher’s Weekly, Shelf Awareness and more If you are making a season 2, as i hope. Then i think Tsukasa shoud date Anzu because they need eathother if you know what i mean. And the first season was so romantic when Anzu protected Tsukasa and the other way. Please make a season 2.? Muhyo & Roji's Bureau of Supernatural Investigation: Magical Genus Magic Tool Master Chapter (2018–2019) I just finished it. An I am so hooked. I really hope there will be a second season! It’s not like other reverse harems/otomes it’s different and I really really enjoy it. a b 干物JKが魔法の力で強制的にイケメンと恋?「ロマンティック・キラー」1巻. Natalie (in Japanese). Natasha, Inc. December 4, 2019 . Retrieved August 22, 2022.I liked volume 1 quite a bit, and loved volume 2 which got a bit sillier since it had its set up and initial love interest established and added some more love rivals. This was a really good second volume of a manga that I can see being entertaining for everyone. It feels like a more traditional shoujo manga - rom com style. It's really funny, the characters are likeable and all very different from each other. The main character seems very relatable, and actually she seems like an all around good person. I've already watched the whole anime, and can't wait for some new material in the manga series. It's definitely one that I will keep reading and would read over and over again because it's so entertaining.
