In my opinion it is likely there is not enough finance resource to develop a new FF body and high quality optics hence they leave the job to Zeiss. Then there is the challenge of keeping the lens small. People already complain the size of the F4 70-200, imagine that lens at 2.8

To be specific twice the weight and price tag. Forgive me Alpha fans. 3K and you end up with a dumbbell on your shoulder....REALLY??? I guess now the three new mirrorless 2.8 telephoto zoom doesn't seem all that heavy and expensive.

Our lab tests indicate that the A7 II is capable of resolving as much detail as the 28MP Samsung NX1 in lab conditions. Noise is also controlled well through the lower, middle and moderately high sensitivity settings. Does the A7II have the same issue. I don't shoot weddings, sports, or news. There are other professional venues besides those, where taking the 30 seconds to change a battery is not a big deal. With a revised exterior design sporting a more beefy DSLR-like grip, buttons and dials more ergonomically friendly, as well as a state of the art five-axis sensor-shift image stabilization system, the compact Sony A7 series had officially arrived as a true competitor to the DSLR.
