About this deal

GT EDITION PEDAL SET: 3 adjustable metal pedals included: Metal pedals, Accelerator and clutch pedals adjustable (height and spacing). This vibration emulates the feel of different road surfaces, relaying with the wheel what, in real life, you’d feel all over your body. It adds an extra level of immersion, emulating the bumpiness of tarmac versus scrub. It also ensures there are virtually no ‘quiet moments’ when the Thrustmaster T-GT’s motors are doing nothing at all. We’ll be testing the Thrustmaster T300 RS primarily with DriveClub on PS4, Gran Turismo 5/6 on PS3, and a few other racing titles on PC. For those in doubt: DriveClub is not a particularly realistic game, nor is it meant to be. The Thrustmaster T300RS GT gives players exactly what it promises - an authentic racing feeling. It has a high-quality finish and is easy to grip. However, for the fact that you only get a third pedal, the price difference to the standard version is quite high. Though if you attach importance to a manual transmission, the investment is worthwhile. It remains to be said that such a steering wheel requires a racing seat - this is the only way you can fully enjoy its features. T300 RS GT Edition: Price UK

It’s less of an issue if you’re shopping for a wheel to use in VR, as you won’t be able to see any extra functions like shift lights or adjustment dials found on rival wheels. Gran Turismo 7’s faithfully created car interiors are easier on the eye at any rate, so we spent more time looking at the screen than glancing down at the wheel itself. In this game you can adjust the STEERING WHEEL ANGLE from 40° to 180° in SETTINGS / GAME / STEERING WHEEL ANGLE) As you’d hope, playing Gran Turismo Sport with this wheel is a completely different, and far better, experience than just using a pad. It’s a three-pedal board with metal footplates and a large plastic footrest. You can adjust the position of the pedals a little, and screw in an included “conical” mod for the brake that adds a progressive feel with a rubber add-on.

With the help of the Thrustmaster T300 Rs in the GT Edition, you have a very good set for driving racing simulations. Sometimes the steering wheel does not respond (this does not always have to be due to the steering wheel). The steering wheel sits well in the hands when driving. At a price of 399 euros I had wished nicely rather leather cover on the steering wheel, but still a very nice experience product. The benefit is obvious — you can use the Thrustmaster T300 RS to control your system rather than having to juggle between the wheel and a pad. It’s handy, and very welcome because, let’s be honest, no racing wheel is remotely convenient.

Thrustmaster Ferrari F1 Add-on, Thrustmaster Ferrari GTE Add-on, Thrustmaster T3PA, Thrustmaster T500RS, Thrustmaster TH8A, Thrustmaster TH8RS Whether you’re upgrading from an entry-level racing wheel or looking to immerse yourself in sim racing for the first time, the Thrustmaster T300RS GT Edition remains a firm recommendation. It’s ready out the gate for PS5 racers, despite having been on the market for longer than the console itself. It is important to note that when you go through the setup phase, you must have the small switch on the bottom left of your base set to the ‘PS3 mode’. You must keep your wheel on this setting when you are using it on PC.The steering wheel's pedals are decent, if not the large upgrade we would have expected at this price Pedals

Auto centre settings – If the wheel automatically centres when you let go. This should be left to be decided by the game. The Thrustmaster T300RS is arguably the king of the mid-range when it comes to wheels – but if you don’t know how to set it up properly, you can’t extract the potential this wheel has to offer. Here at The Coach Dave Academy we are here to help, and so, this guide will walk you through step-by-step how you should set up your Thrustmaster T300RS. Step 1: Securing your wheel You can think of it as the equivalent to a screen resolution change if you like. A movie is not made better by being shown at 4K rather than 480p DVD quality, but the experience of watching it is still more enjoyable. A Thrustmaster T150 will indicate when your car is about to lose traction just like a T-GT, but the way this is relayed is subtler and more detailed.Ecosystem: Compatible on PS4™, PS3™ & PC with detachable Thrustmaster wheels, 3-pedal pedal set T3PA-PRO. We’re slightly surprised the wheel diameter is quite a small as it is, though. It’s roughly the same as the T300, about 70% of a real car’s scale, smaller than the Fanatec rival. A larger wheel naturally provides a more serious, realistic feel. And takes up more space, mind. Detachable RACING GT STYLE wheel: 11” / 28 cm diameter racing wheel featuring a brushed metal central spokes. Reinforced rubber texture on the wheel’s entire circumference. With a 28cm diameter the wheel is a little smaller than a genuine race car’s steering wheel, but still larger than other ‘kid-sized’ sim racing wheels. There’s space for a whole host of buttons up front, including the familiar PlayStation face buttons and a D-pad. Everything was within comfortable reach when gripping the wheel, and easy enough to find by touch when wearing a VR headset. The rim is wrapped in rubber, rather than authentic suede or Alcantara, but is satisfyingly grippy and durable once you get your hands on it.
