About this deal

Remember this, my darling—remember this. What you achieve on earth is only a small part of the deal. If there's a secret I could whisper, and that you could keep, it would be that it's all inside you already. Every single thing you need. Earth is just a stopover. A kind of game. Make it a star game. If I could give you a gift, it would be to teach you how to stay free inside that game, to find the glory inside yourself, beyond the roles and the drama, so you can dance the dance of the game of life with a little more rhythm, a little more abandon, a little more shaking-those-hips.” I received this book from the Goodreads giveaway books. I just finished reading it and usually after reading a book, I automatically write a review while it is still fresh in my mind. I took a little bit after finishing this book to think about what I had read. First I must say, it was a very easy read as I read it in one sitting. Second, I enjoy reading books like this because as humans, we are always curious about the afterlife and question if there is one, where do we go when we die, do we go directly to heaven, remain on a plane before going to heaven, etc., etc., etc.

The Afterlife of Billy Fingers: How My Bad-Boy Brother The Afterlife of Billy Fingers: How My Bad-Boy Brother

When her brother Billy died unexpectedly and began speaking to her from the afterlife, Annie agreed to accompany him on his journey through the mysteries of death. As Billy reaches from the “other side” to change his sister’s life and the lives of those around her, he shares secrets about the bliss and wonder to come in the afterlife. It was an encouraging read, but Billy's experiences may have been a "instanced role play" of what he thought afterlife might be designed for his own benefit by a collective consciousness or "higher beings" as he called it. Billy's ongoing after-death communications take his sister on an unprecedented journey into the bliss and wonder of life beyond death. Billy's profound, detailed description of the mystical realms he traverses, the Beings of Light that await him, and the wisdom he receives take the reader beyond the near-death experience. Billy is, indeed, as Dr. Raymond Moody points out in his foreword, explaining the phenomena we've known about since ancient times, an afterworld walker. Your eyes can't see the light directly, only the things it shines upon, so the light remains invisible, just like the soul does.”It feels like she wasn't confident enough to write a book on her own, so she used the sad circumstances as an excuse. With her brother talking to her, she had to write it. Even the Beings from the afterlife agreed on it. Hmmm... Convenient. In 2004, bad boy Billy Fingers Cohen, a homeless small-time drug dealer and addict in a state of drug induced euphoria ran into a busy intersection and was killed instantly by a speeding automobile. He left behind a grieving sister. For weeks she struggled with grief and tried to make sense of Billy’s seemingly wasted life and tragic death. of 5 stars 2 of 5 stars 3 of 5 stars 4 of 5 stars 5 of 5 stars The Afterlife of Billy Fingers: How My Bad-Boy Brother Proved to Me There's Life After Death by Annie Kagan

The reader is left asking whether Kagan simply imagined Billy's monologues, or if Kagan is a manipulator exploiting human grief and fear to make money and achieve guru status. Bob Olson is the host of Afterlife TV and the author of Answers About The Afterlife. Afterlife TV is the most recent of Bob's resources to guide and educate you about life after death. Here you'll see episodes where Bob interviews authors, experts & practitioners (Interviews), episodes of Bob sharing what he's learned from his investigations (Reports), and episodes of Bob interviewing people about their extraordinary afterlife-related experiences. Annie's book touched me. The way in which she describes her relationship with her brother and mostly, the way in which his words resonate creating an inner universe of musical beauty, had an impact on me irrespectively of it being a "truth truth" or a poetic truth... The foreword is by Dr. Raymond Moody, whose 1975 book Life After Life changed many people’s lives and turned ‘near death experiences’ into a ‘respectable’ subject. Additional quotations from other recognised writers in this field add weight to the credibility of this book by Annie and Billy. As Billy says: A fresh, uplifting thoroughly modern account of life after death. I wholeheartedly recommend you read it. - Gordon Smith - World-renowned medium and author of The Best of Both WorldsA few weeks after his death, William Cohen, aka Billy Fingers, woke his sister Annie at dawn. 'I'm drifting weightlessly through these glorious stars and galaxies and I feel a Divine Presence, a kind, loving beneficent presence, twinkling all around me.' I'm guessing that Kagan and her brother are of Jewish descent. One of the saddest aspects of "Billy Fingers" is that in imagining her afterlife and answers to the cosmic questions, Kagan has no use for Judaism whatsoever. Her text is reflective of Jewbu, those modern Jews who have traded their ancestral riches for a vitiated and commodified version of Buddhism and Hinduism. Kagan claims that Billy, as she calls her late brother, provided proof to her that his presence was real. For example, Billy communicates cryptic information to Kagan like "Give Tex a coin" and "There is no sunshine without the sun" and "Take Bach flower remedies." Later, Kagan claims, these cryptic sentences came to have great meaning. This meaning convinced Kagan that she wasn't merely imagining that her dead brother was speaking to her; he really was. One of the most detailed and profound ADC’s ever recorded, Kagan’s book takes the reader beyond the near-death experience. Billy’s vivid, real-time account of his on-going journey through the mysteries of death will change the way you think about life. Death and your place in the Universe.

While I find the subject very interesting, this particular elaboration of it makes me angry. I usually like reading and hearing different theories about the existance of afterlife and various interpretations of it, just to test or even expand my own beliefs and contemplate the possibilities. Most of all, I'm curious about other opinions, and not only on this subject, but so many more. That's why I read these kind of books from time to time. When the author received an unexpected birthday visit from her deceased brother, Billy, she agreed to follow him on his evolutionary journey in the afterlife, one she now shares with every reader who wonders, What happens after we die? You’re very kind to share how my work has been helpful to you during this difficult time. Thank you. I’m very sorry about Herbert’s passing. Keep watching and you might even want to read my book as many have said that helped them too. More than anything, be sure to take extra good care of yourself and allow others to take care of you. And talk to Herbert right out loud if you want because he can hear every word you say. Annie Kagan began writing songs at the age of fourteen. At fifteen she was signed by a producer from Columbia Records. At sixteen she was performing in New York City cafes and clubs.

Annie Kagan, a chiropractor and songwriter living in Manhattan, abandoned her hectic city life in search of serenity in a small, secluded house by the bay. In 2004, bad boy Billy Fingers Cohen, a homeless small-time drug dealer and addict in a state of drug induced euphoria ran into a busy intersection and was killed instantly by a speeding automobile. He left behind a grieving sister. For weeks she struggled with grief and tried to make sense of Billy's seemingly wasted life and tragic death. WHY AREN'T YOU TALKING TO ME? Damn you! Come talk to me! STOP talking to me! Where are you? I am freaking out! No, I am fine, no- I'm not! Go AWAY!" Being in an earthly body and looking through physical eyes limits the way you perceive the light. Your eyes can't see the light directly, only the things it shines upon, so the light remains invisible, just like the soul does. That causes a good deal of suffering down there on your planet because it's hard to believe in what you can't see. The light here makes visible what is invisible on earth: the divine nature of all things.”Annie dealt with a bunch of her own issues in this book, like the fact that by writing this book, people were going to think she was "flaky". At one point in the narrative, she has a toothache and starts to believe that she's being punished for revealing universal truths that should be kept secret. She eventually gets past that attitude, but, when it comes to the unknown, I think fear can be a major hurdle: "After my toothache and the painful root canal and awful infection that followed, I was scared. ... who was I to be the one to prove there's life after death? Maybe some secrets shouldn't be revealed. Maybe I was breaking a sacred taboo, dabbling in a cosmic Pandora's box." pg 41, ebook. The Afterlife of Billy Fingers reaffirms the NDEs experiences of the light and love I encountered on the other side. It’s an engaging account of the transformation of the spirit and I highly recommend.” ─ Dannion Brinkley, bestselling author of Saved by the Light EVER!
