About this deal

Certain reports suggest that the plastics used for basic 24 'Mechs in this set may differ from that used in the previous edition, that is the Classic BattleTech Introductory Box Set, but the sculpts appear unchanged. At present, there is not a way known to distinguish a miniature originating from the Classic BattleTech Introductory Box Set in 2007 and one originating from the 25th Anniversary Introductory Box Set in 2011 or 2012. In Battletech: Alpha Strike, you take command of large-scale engagements, fueled by tabletop miniatures gameplay designed for the modern wargamer. Inside is everything you need to start tossing dice and moving miniatures on your game table. Warhawk:The Warhawk is the biggest included Clan mech (though not the most expensive, the Timber Wolf T takes that trophy). This mech comes with the C and T variants, with the C doing consistent damage out to long range (think of it like two Pouncer Prime’s stapled together), and the T being a closer ranged brawler that can apply heat to the target like the Pouncer T. BattleTech News Post (2022) Now Available: BattleMech Recognition Guide Vol. 26; Update on Alpha Strike Boxed Set Initially published over thirty years ago as a tabletop board game, BattleTech has gone on to become one of the gaming industry’s most important and longest-lasting science-fiction universes.

Both the 25th Anniversary Introductory Box Set and the BattleTech Introductory Box Set included two premium plastic miniatures of a different style and arrangement from the base 24 miniatures included in each. The 25th Anniversary Introductory Box Set included two Clan 'Mechs: a Summoner (Thor) and a Hellbringer (Loki). The BattleTech Introductory Box Set included a Timber Wolf (Mad Cat) and a BattleMaster BLR-4S from Project Phoenix. These miniatures came unassembled with parts still attached to sprues. You command a detachment of these brave warriors dropped onto an unforgiving battlefield: only your wits and tactical acumen will bring victory, or leave you a casualty on a forgotten world. Battletech Alpha Strike Box Set Contents: Wraith: The second mech completely new to plastic, the Wraith is broadly a better Phoenix Hawk. While they don’t have any ability to do damage at long range, they’re faster and more durable. The TR5 variant can run 2″ further than the TR1. While it has no in-game effect, it also has an absolutely fantastic model. The CityTech box contained a slew of cutout counters for various tanks, infantry units and buildings, and two (identical) mapsheets that were different from the previous BattleTech mapsheets. An in-universe look at the major factions, their histories and their status quo as of 3130. Republic of the SphereI’m looking forward to playing more games with this ruleset, as I can easily see that playing company-on-company or larger games are still something you’ll get done in an evening after work. It’s definitely a different feel than Total Warfare, in that it satisfies a desire for mass combat rather than simulationist crunch, but it’s a good feel, and one that has a much lower barrier of complexity. Final Thoughts BattleTech, 2nd Edition, came with a rulebook (with a proper cover) with gaming and 'Mech construction rules. These were based off the Advanced Battledroids Rules, and form the core of the BattleTech boardgame rules to this day with minimal changes. The vehicle and infantry rules from Battledroids were dropped, but the construction rules were kept with some adjustments. In 2019 CGL released a pair of new box sets in tandem, "A Game of Armored Combat" which was the full introductory box set and a "Beginner Box" with downscaled content which was sold more or less at cost, to lower the price barrier for new players to enter the BattleTech hobby. Built by Kallon Weapon Industries, theErisis a mobile skirmisher perfect for the perpetual low-intensity conflicts in the former Free Worlds League. Now, addit to your own TO&E! The BattleTech: Clan Invasion box is a supplement to the BattleTech: A Game of Armored Combat box, which is required to use this set.

All you need to apply is to have a debit or credit card, to be over 18 years of age, and to be a resident of country offering Afterpay Released in 2020 after a successful crowdfunding campaign, this box set served as an expansion to BattleTech: A Game of Armored Combat. The box provides lore, rules, and components for introducing Clan warfare into BattleTech gameplay. The key feature of BattleTech is that the combat units in all these battles are roughly 12-metre-tall humanoid armoured combat units called BattleMechs, powered by fusion reactors and armed with a variety of weapons. These towering machine of destruction are led into battle by experienced MechWarriors that could either be soldier-of-fortune or part of one of the noble Great Houses fighting for supremacy. Pouncer: New in plastic, the Pouncer is on the light side of medium mechs with decent movement and durability. The Prime variant is a sniper, able to do three damage out to long range, while the T variant has to get closer but can then apply heat to the target.
