About this deal

Around 1998, my mom had a shower gel that was meant to be used after laying in the tanning bed that smelled a lot like this, and I would sneak and use it to enjoy the lovely scent. It's a nice way to make a shower gel type fragrance linger - and to be sure, although it doesn't start bold, the fragrance does last at the same power for a good while.

Now - besides being a bit of personal nostalgia, it's still a lovely scent. It's definitely 'cool'. It definitely reminds me of water and makes me think of summer days and the beach. It is barely even a hint of its former self. If I had smelled this blindly, I would not think "Oh, that must be Cool Water" nor would I think "That smells good". I would think "Who is wearing that extremely faint insect repellent or boring cleaning product?" It's a stunning fragrance. It has an abundance of notes but it's the melon that stands out for me. The lotus note gives it an aquatic feel and it's not particularly floral which is so rare in feminine leaning perfume.People say this frag is suitable for the older demographic but for me. This actually smells good. It's a familiar soap/shower gel from a nice hotel smell and that's what I can really relate this smell with and im not saying that's a bad thing. Davidoff Cool Water, a beacon of freshness launched in 1988, heralds the scent of sea-kissed shores and sun-soaked memories, a masterpiece woven into the essence of aquatic allure. At the dawn of spring, as nature awakens, notes of sea water, lavender, mint, and green whispers of new beginnings. Rosemary and coriander paint the canvas, while calone dances like waves under the sun. I detect 0 marine notes and I'm glad.. I held off buying this one because I thought it was an aquatic and i'm glad I finally got my nose on it. It's soapy, green and actually really good stuff

Really affordable but has terribly weak perfomance, it disappears after a few minutes and leaving no trail. I get occasional sniffs for a few hours when sprayed 20x on clothes.

This 1996 Floral Aquatic scent by Pierre Bourdon has a mood & tone consistent with Return to the Blue Lagoon (1991), or The Blue Lagoon (1980). Although both films were made before this came out, I could imagine the sets smelling of this, and Brooke Shields, Milla Jovovich or their male co-stars wearing this on set.
