About this deal

When it comes to the grinder, DeLonghi delivers its usual high-quality performance with the ECAM 23.460. Not only is the inclusion of 13 grind settings always exceptional at this price point, but the stainless steel conical burr grinder is also supremely adjustable. The fact is that the slightly more affordable and smaller ECAM machine is a wonderful machine in its own right. It makes very nice espresso and scores points for milk froth. One thing to draw special attention to here is the fact that while most super-automatics have the problem of brewing coffee that’s not quite hot enough for the American palate, the DeLonghi ECAM 23460s does not suffer from that limitation. Ultimately, the question of price isn’t much of an issue here because you get a lot of features for a mid-range machine:

I have been more excited than the kids were at Christmas,A little gift to me and my mrs after Christmas . This coffee machine is awesome . If you value a quality cup of coffee , you must treat yourself . I can’t fault Delonghi !!! We have felt the pinch after Christmas and so bought this refurbed machine after Christmas at a steel . Item arrived promptly and is like new . Does everything I want it too and more and the wonderful people at Delonghi even sent a water filter even though it states refurbished models don’t come with one . I couldn’t recommend this product enough . Thank you Delonghi !!!!Adding frothed milk to a long coffee is simply a matter of pressing the “Cappuccino” button once to start, and another to stop. You get a nice frothy texture to the drink, and you can add as much as you want. If you’ve already read our review of the De’Longhi Eletta, then you’ll find that this product is very similar. It’s essentially the little brother of the larger, more powerful Eletta. It has most of the same functionality, but it’s a little bit smaller and is meant more for personal use than it is for family use. Instead, there’s a ‘short coffee’, ‘medium coffee’, ‘long coffee’ and ‘extra long coffee’. With a bit of thinking outside the box, you’ll get the idea that a ‘short coffee’ is roughly equivalent to espresso, but this only works in reality when you increase the amount of ground coffee you’re using. There are also a number of espresso settings. These include choosing between lungo or espresso, coffee quantity (6-15 grams), water quantity, water temperature and 1 or 2 cups. Espresso Taste In addition to offering a good-sized bean hopper, the DeLonghi 23460 also features a one-scoop bypass doser for those occasions when you ran out of beans or just don’t feel like going through the whole process. Very handy!

Potřebujete-li provést servisní údržbu kávovaru DeLonghi, Zavolejte a dohodněte si s námi pevný termín provedení servisní údržby.Most importantly, it makes brilliant coffee every time and is easy to customise, so we think it provides value for money. It’s probably not the right option if you’re on a tight budget though. Frequently Asked Questions Is it suitable for commercial use? On the one hand, having the filter is nice. You can control water hardness, and as a result, have to descale your machine less often. On the other, it means that you’ve got to periodically buy more filters, which is an ongoing, recurring expense that adds to the total cost of your machine. This is especially evident when compared to the inexpensive, test classic DeLonghi ECAM 22.110.B, which has to make do without a display altogether. You’ll have to decide for yourself whether the design of the new ECAM model is prettier than the Dinamica version, but I, for one, like it. Somehow, I just can’t shake the impression that the product design was a bit of a rush job, though. Still, that’s only due to details like a completely stupid button assignment — the quirkiest ever to appear in a super-automatic espresso machine review. For the test, I chose the finest grind for the espresso and opted for a ‘short coffee’, then adjusted the fill volume further down. The fill volume range here extends from around 20-180 milliliters (0.67-6 fluid ounces), which is just about convincing in the minimum range. I settled on around 25 milliliters (0.85 fluid ounces) and used the ‘very strong’ coffee quantity setting.

Seriously, what’s the point? Especially since the average coffee machine buyer has just gotten used to the concept of ‘espresso’ — with all its parameters — and pays more attention to quality than ever before.

Even better, one that does that without costing you an arm and a leg? The DeLonghi ECAM23460S may be the answer, and exactly the machine you’ve been looking for! Much of the DeLonghi ECAM23.460's maintenance is automated, and in fact, some users have complained that " it spends too much time rinsing.” We’re not sure if there is any such thing as a machine that’s too clean, and are all for as much automation as possible on that front! Hot Water Tap, Auto Shut-off, Thermostat, Water Tank, Water Filter, Frother, Programmable, Self-Cleaning, Removable Drip Tray, Timer, Adjustable Coffee Spouts, Energy Saving Mode, Removable Water Tank, Cup Warming Surface, Display A downside is it uses a bit more water than I would have liked to rinse through when it first starts up and when it is turned off.

As with all bean-to-cup coffee machines, the conical grinder has several settings for coarseness (13 to be exact.) You can adjust this setting using a dial within the grinder. You’ll still need to do some manual maintenance though. In particular, the drip tray, milk carafe and coffee bin need extra attention.
