The Trio and Trio Max offer an innovative, easy and personalized setup for all of your needs. Only 3 steps and it's ready to extend your vision. You do not need to connect anything to the 5V_EXT_POWER connector unless you want to supply external 5V power to power servos and fans. Selects between using internal 5V (supplied by connected Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet) or external 5V (supplied to EXT 5V header). In the following instructions given for the DueX5 apply equally to the DueX2 except where noted. ¶ Features
maximum total peak current, 2A continuous total on PWM pins and fans (when external 5V is selected) The Duet 2 WiFi and Ethernet can drive 5 independent stepper motors. It uses Trinamic TMC2660 stepper drivers, which in addition to the standard step/direction/enable interface provide additional functionality (for example digital current selection and interpolation between microsteps) through SPI. If these chips become damaged or if users wish to use different drivers (for example supporting higher currents) then 5 additional channels of step/direction/enable pins are available on the expansion connector. With the onboard stepper drivers, it is possible to connect multiple motors in series; a connector is provided to make this convenient for the Z axis.The DueX2 (now discontinued) was a 2 driver version of the Duex5 - the same PCB with 3 of the drivers not populated. These instructions still mention the DueX2 in some places and from v0.11 of the DueX5 it is possible to use jumpers to make a DueX5 appear like a DueX2 to allow external drivers to be used for Drivers 7, 8 and 9. The duex.estop pins are routed through the I2C expander on the DueX. The exp.e[x]stop pins on the Duet expansion header become the CS pins on the DueX temp daughterboard connector. More importantly, the frame weighs just about 1.5 pounds and gives you an extended display that is almost 12.5-inches wide and will fit most modern laptops (13-inch to 17.5-inch). It is also possible to mount the two boards side-by side with power connectors next to each other, but in this case the 50-way ribbon cable needs to be at least 200mm long instead of the standard 100mm. ¶ Cooling
The DueX 5 is an expansion board for the Duet 2 Wifi and Ethernet. It provides up to 5 additional stepper motor drivers, 5 extruder heater outputs, 5 endstop inputs with indicator LEDs, 6 additional controlled fan outputs, 5 thermistor inputs, support for 2 more thermocouple or PT100 daugther boards, and optional 5V external power input for powering servos and fans to allow for 3d printers or other machines with more axis, multiple drivers per axis, tool changers ets. The Duet 2 WiFi and Ethernet are the 2nd generation of Duet 3D motion control electronics. They are an advanced 32-bit controller for 3D printers and other CNC machines. ¶ Features Boost productivity and work anywhere with the DUEX portable monitor, providing dual-screen capabilities. For these revisions forward the only difference between the DueX2 and DueX5 is only two stepper drivers are populated on the DueX2.

Important! The cables must be oriented as shown in the image in the Power wiring section, below. If you have a white pre-production Duet 2 WiFi then the 50-way expansion connector may be fitted the wrong way round, with the keyway on the side next to the edge of the board (wrong!) instead of away from the edge (correct). To fit the cable, you will need to file down or cut off the protruding key on the cable end. ¶ Power ¶ Power distribution The PCB is designed to transfer heat from the stepper drivers and power mosfets to the underside of the board. Therefore your mounting method should encourage good airflow underneath the board. The slightly bigger screen size means it’ll fit bigger laptops. However, if you plan it for a smaller laptop, do note that the low clearance area at the bottom may limit your ability to tilt the screen down.
For the initial beta testers who have the old WHITE pre-production boards the pin out is below. The differences from the production boards are: Inherited from Middle French deux, from Old French deus, from Latin duōs, masculine accusative plural of duo, from Proto-Italic *duō, from Proto-Indo-European *dwóh₁. Logical pin numbers for RRF 2.x are not the physical pin numbers on the expansion header, or the internal pin numbering within the firmware. Picture-wise, it does a decent job for an FHD monitor. From the occasional movie to letting your excel sheets spillover, there are plenty of options. Plus, it gets bright as well. For legacy reasons, the pins on the Duet 2 and Duex PCBs and wiring diagram are labelled in a manner similar, but not exactly the same, as the RepRapFirmware 3.x pin name format. For example:In some cases, where current draw is particularly high, for example you have a large number of heaters, you may want to connect more than one PSU. The Duet 2 WiFi and Ethernet also provides connectors for several fans, some always-on and some PWM-controlled. These can be supplied with 12/24V or with 5V, or (since again the switching is by MOSFETs on the ground line) if necessary from user-supplied power inputs. The Duet 2 WiFi and Ethernet supports power distribution to and control of three heaters: a heated bed (assumed to be the highest current draw with a maximum of 18A) and two extruder heaters. These are fed from the 12/24V circuit, but the PWM switching is carried out by MOSFETs on the ground, so if necessary they can be run off different voltages. Very high power bed heaters should probably be supplied independently and switched with a SSR.

If we talk numbers, the Duex Pro displays FHD resolution on a 12.5-inch, and the quality seems apt with text appearing sharp and clear. However, you might find it a tad different compared to the color scheme on your laptop.
