About this deal

Let’s do befores and afters. In the after picture here you can see my skin is looking quite red. That’s just from rubbing this product into my face, that is not an effect of the product. It happens every time I apply any sort of cleanser, skincare or makeup product with my fingers. Other than that I cannot see a lot of differences between my skin before the primer or after. So in case you were planning on relying on this as a skincare product I am not sure this would do enough and if you wanted this to replace base makeupl, then that is alos not going to happen. My skin looks a bit more hydrated but I don’t find this super glowy at all. My final thoughts Now that we’ve gone through the best ingredients to look for in a skin hydration beauty product, it’s time to meet the answer to your facial hydrator prayers. It's one of those things that help your cosmetics not to go wrong too soon, aka a preservative. It’s not a strong one and doesn’t really work against bacteria, but more against mold and yeast. To do that it has to break down to its active form, sorbic acid. For that to happen, there has to be water in the product and the right pH value (pH 3-4). If that wasn’t enough panthenol is also useful in nail and hair care products. A study shows that a nail treatment liquide with 2% panthenol could effectively get into the nail and significantly increase the hydration of it.

Essence Glow Serum primer review - FLOATING IN DREAMS Essence Glow Serum primer review - FLOATING IN DREAMS

An AHA that comes from citrus fruits. It is usually used as a helper ingredient to adjust the pH of the formula.

The best skin hydrating serum has these four ingredients. Read on to find out what they are!

This one became my favorite mascara from the very first day I tried it. Essence HELLO, GOOD STUFF! Volume Mascara is easy to apply and so comfortable on your lashes if you’re using it for hours on end. The tinted face cream is available in shades for light and medium skin tones, and is made from 90% natural ingredients that nourish normal and dry skin types. These include Cactus Blossom Extract, Hyaluronic Acid and Glycerine that provide 24 hours moisturising and hydration action while concealing slight skin imperfections. The mattifying cream sits weightlessly on the skin, leaving a sheer finish that not only looks natural, but feels it too. Free from gluten, parabens, perfumes, and preservatives. Cruelty-free & vegan-friendly. The name says it all. This is a moisturizer with some color on it, to give your skin a “healthier” look. A perfect alternative for those days that you need to look polished, but don’t feel like using any makeup. If you’ve ever used a skin hydration serum, chances are it contained glycerine (a natural compound derived from vegetable oils). After all, it’s the third most used cosmetics ingredient. Fun fact: glycerine was discovered from making soap. It also appears in food and recipes, too. Ready for your last science lesson? Glycerine is considered a humectant and occlusive, which means it pulls water from the air and deeper levels of your skin, to the surface (a.k.a. the epidermis or stratum corneum).

What seems to be a true difference, though, is that the salt form is more stable, easier to formulate andcheaper so it pops up more often on the ingredient lists. Its main job in skincare products is to moisturise the skin. It’s a humectant meaning that it can help the skin to attract water and then hold onto it. There is also research showing that panthenol can help our skin to produce more lovely lipids that are important for a strong and healthy skin barrier. If that would not be enough there is also a 2011 research paper saying that based on in-vitro (made in the lab, not on real people) findings Zinc PCA might be a promising anti-aging active that helps with the production of type I collagen (and we all know more collagen = firmer skin). Essence Hello Good Stuff Tinted Beauty Cream (30ml) moisturises and pampers skin with an added, irresistible touch of colour. The range of Hello Good Stuff products is formulated with natural ingredients renowned for their skin-caring properties and contains no harmful chemicals.Essence HELLO, GOOD STUFF! Matte & Glow Bronzer is split into two parts: matte (darker) and glow (lighter). Which might be a bit confusing when you apply it for the first time. Especially because the glow formula isn’t glowy at all and the matte one happens to be matte. So I’ve decided to mix both. From forehead to chin.

Essence Hello, Good Stuff! Prim Serum | Wilko - Wilko Site

The Essence HELLO, GOOD STUFF! product line has 6 products: serum, primer, tinted beauty cream (available in light and medium), bronzer (available in light and medium), mascara, and 3in1 face mist. A helper ingredient that helps to makethe products stay nice longer, aka preservative. It works mainly against fungi.

Let’s start with the natural formula and watermelon scent. Most setting spray formulas in the market have a lot of alcohol and, therefore, a really strong intoxicating smell. Which makes this one quite pleasant. Perfect to carry with you when you’re out and about and need to freshen up a little bit. Especially now that we need to wear a face mask wherever we go.

The generic term for nice smelling stuff put into cosmetic products so that the end product also smells nice. It is made up of 30 to 50 chemicals on average. Pro-Vitamin B5 is a goodie that moisturises the skin, has anti-inflammatory, skin protecting and wound healing properties. If a primer makes any difference at all, you can usually tell in a before and after picture. Can you tell a difference between these pictures? Because I surely can’t. My skin looks just as red, just as glossy and just as dewy and hydrated as it does in the picture on the left. So really while this may add a bit of a layer, it really doesn’t do enough to even really call this a primer, nor a serum really. It’s just not strong enough to really be able to hydrate my dry, dehyrated skin. My final thoughts When it comes to facial hydrators, there’s a superfood ingredient you should look for on your skin care label: blueberry extract. Blueberries are a powerhouse antioxidant that help neutralize free radicals (the stuff that makes our skin show signs of age). And that’s not all. Blueberries also boast other powerful antioxidants like vitamin C and anthocyanins, which is also what give them their blue pigment, BTW. Both help pump the breaks on collagen loss, which gives our skin its youthful, plump texture. The neutralized form of gluconic acid. It's a great ingredient to neutralize metal (especially iron and copper) ions in a cosmetic product. This helpsto prevent discoloration of the formula over time or rancidity of cosmetic oils.

An easy-to-formulate, commonly used, nice to have ingredient that’s also called pro-vitamin B5. As you might guess from the “pro” part, it’s a precursor to vitamin B5 (whose fancy name is pantothenic acid). We can’t talk about skin hydration beauty products and ingredients without talking about hyaluronic acid, another ingredient darling in the world of moisturizers. You may have heard its famous tagline: that it can bind over a thousand times its weight in water. So i’s no wonder this ingredient is known as the holy grail of facial hydrators. Just a few of its good-for-skin benefits reads like this: moisturizers, is anti-aging, increases skin elasticity, treats redness, aids in wound healing and more. ml INGREDIENTS: AQUA (WATER), GLUCONOLACTONE, ACTINIDIA CHINENSIS (KIWI) FRUIT WATER, GLYCERIN, LACTIC ACID, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, PANTHENOL, ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE POWDER, TOCOPHEROL, XANTHAN GUM, PENTYLENE GLYCOL, SODIUM LAURYL SULFOACETATE, SODIUM OLEOYL SARCOSINATE, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, SODIUM CHLORIDE, SODIUM OLEATE, SODIUM SULFATE, PHENOXYETHANOL, PARFUM (FRAGRANCE), CI 42090 (BLUE 1), CI 47005 (YELLOW 10). A synergistic combination of Zinc and l-PCA that can reduce sebum production and limit the proliferation of evil acne-causing bacteria. A goodie for oily, acne-prone skin. Not only a simple moisturizer but knows much more: keeps the skin lipids between our skin cells in a healthy (liquid crystal) state, protects against irritation, helps to restore barrier
