Set during the world war two where adults were sent to trenches to die while others are left in a crumbling society. The film All Things Fair (Lust och fägring stor) follows Stig (Johan Widerberg), a 15 Year old who falls in love with his 37 tear old teacher Viola (Marika Lagercrantz).The main character also isn't particularly likeable. He's a prop, like any male character in a porno film, there to have sex. But since the movie has no sex, he just wanders haplessly through it.

In both films, we have the sexual awakening of a male teenager during the outbreak of WWI as the centre piece of the story. In both films, the viewer largely experiences the story through this boy. In both films, the outbreak of war is used to make women more 'available' to him, since the adult males are conscripted or volunteer for the army. In both films, he makes use of that - first cautiously, then with increased confidence and vigour. Eight years later we see her again but this time she is on trial for the death of innocents during her time as a death camp guard. She has another secret which she doesn’t like to reveal however the adult Michael who followed he trial discovers it. Its an amazing movie with brilliant performances from all the actors. Viola is married to an drunk and unfaithful husband whom she hates and thus starts an affair with Stig. This forbidden relation brings the unexpected consequences to them. The cast is quite talented with a lovely female contingent and the men are good at adding comic relief without trying to hog the spotlight. The male lead is pretty perfect casting. Young and appealing enough to make a believable young "Don Juan" rather than the usual aging Lothario.
