About this deal

This is the hardest part, isn’t it? When life is hard, when things are not working out, when things are difficult & everything that could go wrong does go wrong… and the hardest part is just not knowing. Not knowing where God is. Not knowing how this is going to work out. This personal and pointed question is the first one recorded that God ever asked of man, and it is the first question He puts to individual men and women today. It simply means, ‘‘How do you stand before God and in the light of eternity? What is your spiritual condition?’’ The circumstances are clearly outlined in Genesis 3:1-19, and the fact that it is God Himself who asks the question makes it vitally important that we face up to it, and answer it honestly.

If You’re Wondering “Where Are You, God?” - Holley Gerth

With this in mind, an image of God starts to form in our mind. In that image we picture God as someone who is strong, reliable and who will stand by us anytime we need Him. And to this image of God, we pray with complete faith and affection! A. Goddess Ambika, also known as Durga Maa and Ambe Maa, is one of the Goddesses, who is worshipped... If Jesus had returned sooner, Lazarus might not have died, but Martha, Mary and the crowd never would see the resurrection power of God. Others in the crowd might not have believed Jesus to be the son of God.

The way this works is, people sin and they know they’re guilty, but they rationalize by thinking, “Yes, I was wrong; I shouldn’t have yelled at my wife. But she provoked me.” It’s like a scale, where I have a pile of guilt on one side, but rather than clearing it off the scale, I balance it by piling blame on the other side. It doesn’t remove the guilt, but it makes me feel better, at least for a while. Steve served as the pastor of Flagstaff Christian Fellowship from May, 1992 through his retirement in December, 2018. From 1977-1992 he was the pastor of Lake Gregory Community Church in Crestline, California. He graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M., 1976 in Bible exposition) and Califo... It has been said by some that God is just a crutch. But it is likely that He is the only reliable one.

Life’s Challenges Where is God in the Midst of Tragedy? Ever ask, "God where are you?" What exactly can you count on God for? One of my dear friends is grieving both the death of her mother and then her own husband within less than a 6-month period. We believe He created our first parents (Genesis 1:26-27; Genesis 2:7). When we turn to the New Testament we find very clear statements about the creation in John 1:1-3; Colossians 1:16-17. These verses tell us how man was created; and the same God who created us is the One who sustains us, cares for us, watches over us and supplies our needs, and He asks, ““Where are you?””

God, Where Are You?! by John Bevere– Messenger International God, Where Are You?! by John Bevere– Messenger International

If you’re not a Christian, if you’re not a follower of Jesus I want to be honest with you & tell you… I don’t know where you turn with your questions. I don’t know where you go to find answers to those questions that don’t have easy answers. Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” 41 So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42 I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.”This is next part of a four-part message titled Resurrecting Hope, Part 3: If You Would Have Been Here. Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.” 23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24 Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” 27 “Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.” The fact of the matter is, our timing is not God’s timing. What we want doesn’t always line up with God’s plan. God is all powerful, all knowing and ever present. Jesus hears your prayer; however, the answer is not always what you may want to hear. Jesus will answer your prayer. Jesus responded to Martha and Mary, but not according to their plans. At times, the answer might be yes to your prayer. Other times, the answer might be no as your prayer seems to go unanswered. And still other times, the answer might be not yet when he’s saying trust me, it’s not time, or simply wait. It is in this story that we learn the power of God over death. Jesus performs a miracle and raises Lazarus from the dead after four days.
