CON’s : We like others find using the main front zipped door difficult in that it’s hard to do up the zip we have tried everything including undoing guys etc we think ours was an early edition as only a few others have the same problem, we actually now use the side door which suits us better allowing better use of the front covered porch. The tent has mesh on the doors, and in addition to this, they have added several vents. You have low vents on the long sides plus a large rear vent behind the bedrooms area. the inner bedrooms have openings that match the rear vent so you can keep them open for more air, see one in the picture: Inner bedrooms with vents.

HOWEVER, after setting our tent up on the first afternoon (No problems, easy for two people) and having our first happy night (three little boys, vERY excited to be camping at last) we returned from our day trip the following day to find the whole tent flat on the ground. Sized to match the Hi Gear Hampton 6, this footprint makes a great groundsheet protector from mud, wet grass and the usual wear and tear, whilst adding an extra layer of insulation between your feet and the cold ground. This Hi-Gear Hampton 6 Nightfall Family Tent is a 3-room construction with an inner tent containing two bedrooms with a divider, plus a large living room. The divider is with zippers on the sides so you can roll it up and create one very large sleeping room. It is large and spacious, with easily enough headroom for my 6'1' husband to wander around in. We are a family of 4 loads of space withstood a storm and wind. Puts up in 30 Mins easy Instructions. Easy to store. Regarding seasons & climate, the tent is ventilated, tall and pleasant, perhaps a bit more suitable for a cooler climate. The waterproof rating is very good so you are fully protected. I would describe it as a true 3-season tent.

PRO’s: A great value huge tent easy to erect ( just remember the yellow poles go into the bedroom end!) Light and airy with lots of windows all with blinds and a great sized front porch for cooking and sitting under even in inclement weather. The bedroom area whilst will sleep 6 we think it is more suited to four., the bedroom inner tent is great with a removable divider. There are two doors, one is under the porch so it is fully protected from the rain and this is a dry entry point. The other door is on the side. Seasons-wise, this tent comes with an impressive waterproof rating which makes it suitable for any conditions in a 3-season use. In summary, this Hi-Gear Hampton 6 Nightfall Family Tent is a pleasant, large, and affordable family camping shelter. The best features of this tent are its dark rest bedrooms and its numerous solid windows on the three sides. So you have what you need for both sleeping and daily activity.
