522GW Dash Cam Support - Nextbase - United Kingdom

The kits I spoke of are 5VDC using a mini-USB plug. These will have a standard pin-out for normal recording but may not initiate parking modes correctly, as how that is done has some variation, but most with this plug are similar. Used a SanDisk SDXC UHS-1 128 gb, Class 10 card but it won’t record unless I disconnect the rear window dash cam. However, originally I wanted to connect it to a live fuse for parking mode, but the manual of the Nextbase hardwire kit mentions the cutoff Voltage to protect the battery from going flat is 11V. That's an interesting one. Please could you tell me what firmware the 522GW is currently running and what SD card you're using? Thanks. The Nextbase 522GW is a Series 2 Dash Cam that boasts an advanced image sensor and various software enhancements compared to its predecessor, the 422GW. To learn how to use the 522GW, we will first cover the installation process. The dash cam can be installed in two ways:

Setting up Nextbase Emergency SOS on an iPhone or iPad

Lead/Acid car batteries should really not be kept below 12V for any great length of time. New batteries can tolerate this longer than old ones but as a rule it is bad for the battery. Driven daily that new battery can probably tolerate 11.8V but with it drawn down to that level before the HWK cuts off and then left sitting a week it may be much lower when you try to start the car so better to use a setting of 12V or higher for the HWK. style>
