Nine Days - Lily Reyes is trying to win the fight against Depression. Well, more or less trying as childhood trauma lets her believe that the world is too cruel to be living in. Lily’s world is like being underwater; everything makes perfect sense there. While Lily is finishing up her final preparations, she makes a small mistake. i also don’t understand how aaron knew the whole time but acted like he didn’t? that was meant to be a plot twist but it was just stupid because no one ever did anything about that information. it didn’t make any sort of sense😭

the plot didn’t revolve around it, but a major part of the story — a story about depression — was sex. it felt wrong. other than all of that, almost all the characters were vanilla and boring and done before. i almost dnf’d, but I’ve dnf’d three books in my life, and i tried not to give up on this one. The same girl that would hate herself right about now if she knew her older self put her dreams to rest.” Because, sweetie, I will never forget you, even if the end comes for you. My heart will always have room for the people I love. I refuse to give up on this, even if it all crumbles to shards of glass. You have changed my life drastically in just a short period of time. You have dispelled the fog that had been surrounding me. Honestly, I've read this book quite a while ago but I figured someone should write a review because damn.Looking at him, he almost seems like a perfect human, but everyone has their demons in some ways, even those who shine as bright as the sun with their positivity.

Unfrozen Four Series by Joelina Falk - Goodreads

I thought they were both fantastic since they had such fine minds. I related to Lily so much that I hoped for a good ending for her. Colin was incredible; he was infallible. He influenced Lily’s life and is now one of my avid readers because of his guidance.<3 Overview: Joelina grew up in Germany and has been writing from a young age as a hobby. Despite German being her native language, she has always found it easier to write in English. As time passed and she got older, Joelina has realized that writing is more than just a hobby to her. Which is exactly why she's now pursuing her dreams of being a writer. the fmc’s personality changed almost drastically in between. i thought her outlook would change steadily, slowly, so readers could follow along without getting confused, but it didn’t.yeah i get it your mom wants you to die so you do want to die but is that really good enough to kill yourself. sorry for being insensitive to this but i think the author was just milking it atp This book has got to be one of my favs , I loved all the characters in the book, I related to Lilly in some parts as well. Every chapter has a new song lyric , the banter between Lilly and Collin was everything . Lily Reyes is trying to win the fight against Depression. Lily Reyesis trying to win the fight against Depression. Well, more or less trying as childhood trauma lets her believe that the world is too cruel to be living in. Depression isn’t cute, and neither are suicidal thoughts. Research is a thing, and so is respect about the subject matter.

worlds worst book award!! did literally ANYONE read over this before it was published?? the gross misuse of the oxford comma and the general juvenile sense you got from the writing, if you told me a 10 year old produced this i would believe you. overall, horrifically written. However, there’s something she hates even more than being compared to her sister. Or rather one other person; Miles King. the writing style. it written like wattpad. the author apparently could not say “I’ll”. she used its full form — “I will” — all the time. which was so off-putting and annoying. suffice it to say, the dialogue was flat. Nevertheless for my taste some details like relationships between characters could have been made clearer from the start but you could also easily follow as it is. Furthermore there were a few too many things going on beside the main plot and the train of thoughts from the characters were a bit repetitive. who the hell randomly leaves after doing it for the first time though i have to admit his story was really sad. almost sad enough for me to have wanted him to be suicidal rather than her.

The true art in life is to see beyond the pain. See that there is a source of light in everything.” You just know so much love and effort was put into this book and I have so much respect for new writers creating something unique. It sure is not perfect but you can see the talent (and I guess with an editor this would reach its full potential). The writing is for sure Impressive for not beeing in the first language of the author (if not for some references I probably wouldn’t have noticed. Greetings to the fellow german:D) However, the amount of people who knew how bad she was or suspected, and not acted at all to do anything. The younger people I get more, because they are trying to be loyal and not make things worse, but even the older adults who suspected did nothing. And despite showing how much Collin struggled with his brother's suicide and felt he should have done something to stop it, he doesn't do anything to stop Lily. He romanticized that his love would save her, and thats very dangerous. This book was a rollercoaster of emotions, and I ate up every damn second of it. It made me laugh and cry all at the same time. Seven Months - Emory Scott doesn’t have it very easy. With constant comparisons to her dead sister, she dreads her family, even when she loves them.

Nine Days’ Review: Belief in the Beforelife - The New York Times ‘Nine Days’ Review: Belief in the Beforelife - The New York Times

In Lily's world, everything makes as much sense as breathing underwater. Yet, as she is preparing her goodbyes, Lily makes one little mistake. They live on two different sides of the country, rarely see each other, especially when one has a very tight work schedule. And it doesn’t help that Grey can’t possibly end up with a guy, ever. If he wants to keep his family, happiness and love come second. I actually cried with certain bits and especially with Collins sister and when he explained about his brother omg my heart couldn’t handle it and when he was reading Lilly’s journal my heart broke ..But in my opinion, the whole story stays on the surface...no iceberg that has so much more you can't see right away. I was hooked at the beginning but the book lost me inbetween. Grey Davis keeps to himself. He’s quiet, observant, and prefers to keep his distance to those who seem more like a complication than simplicity. Lily Reyes is struggling to overcome her melancholy. Despite her best efforts, she gives up and decides the world is too harsh for her to survive because of traumatic events she had as a child. And what if during the months they have to spend together, they discover unimaginable things about their shared past? What if suddenly two people that swore to never get involved with one another ever again, are now forced to learn how to coparent?
