Tamiya polishing compound - Tapatalk Question about Tamiya polishing compound - Tapatalk
Not having any tamiya polishing compound I thought I'd try something else when removing a canopy seam and the magic ingredient t-cut I've recently been doing up some of my early builds with a view to selling them on Facetube. As some of them had issues with the canopies I needed to polish them so, as I'm a lazy sod at heart I've converted an old lekkie toothbrush (which doesn't hold a charge for very long) to help. As I haven't got any polishing compound I remembered that someone mentioned that white toothpaste can be used.

Concur, I tried it many moons ago and it caused crazing in the transparency. I haven't tried the Meng/DSPIAE glass files on a transparency, but using them on opaque plastic makes it go very shiny. @Gorby the Tamiya polishing compounds are the way to go -if you can find them.
