However, the Drone has been out for a while. And there are other, cheaper alternatives out there. So is the Qanba Drone still a viable choice in 2020? Ah, the Mayflash 500 is everyone’s favorite classic, and they do not disappoint again for the PlayStation. Modding the Qanba Drone is fairly easy. Just unscrew the top, and you’ll have access to the inside.The buttons and lever feel good to play with if a little bit lose at times. However, pressing the buttons feels hollow and not as light to touch as you would get with Sanwa or Seimitsu buttons.

The Mayflash was already super versatile, but with the Magic Boot, it almost becomes unbeatable. That’s right, I’ve said it. This personalization allows gamers to fine-tune the controller’s settings to suit their unique needs and enhance their gaming experience.

I found that the buttons were too noisy for my liking, so I swapped them for some Qanba Gravitys KS which feel nicer and are much quieter (though still not silent). It is relatively easy to mod, take out 6 screws, pop out the buttons, pop the new ones in. Opening it up voids the warranty though and it feels like it could be closed with a clasp/hinge instead of screws to make this easier.
