About this deal

According to Sennheiser the HD 599 is your first step into the world of audiophile sound and I couldn’t agree more. It’s smooth, easy to like and listen to but you also get good detail and depth resulting in a musical and natural sound. Though I couldn't find any information about the HD599 SE when googled. so pls provide your valuable inputs.

I would go with 6XX or 4XX, 4XX is more flat than 6XX and better for gaming as i know. 6XX should be better for music. I assumed that the 599s were supposed to be more of an "entertaining" headphone, so I thought the comparison to the SR-80 might be closer, but the SR-80 blew them away. You make it clear that it’s a really good headphone for movies (true), and are your top brothers (600, 650 ..) good for movies too, or just music? I'm planning to buy sennheiser HD599 which is around 200 dollars but today I came across sennheiser HD599 special edition which is priced around 100 dollars. The sound quality of this headphone is quite smooth and engaging. You will feel every note reaching you and delivering the melody in an outstandingly pure form. The sound delivered has a natural feel to it and provides a unique warmth to the listener. This is the perfect headphone for an audiophile and one wanting to step onto the path of becoming one.You want to treat your ears to audiophile sound quality? This is the Sennheiser HD 5 model for you. With an impressively refined and natural sound and an uncompromising build. You’ve reached your goal. If you are able to push your budget out and want your cake and eat it with DSD/MQA etc. with a high performance DAC and Decent Amp combo with multiple connectivity and output options and future flexibility, then the best budget all round option right now would be: I don't know what Sennheiser was trying to achieve here. Low midrange is accentuated making male vocals and guitars louder, while high midrange is recessed. This is pretty evident with good records where the voice is not mastered very loud. Detail is just average. Listened on: ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 with Peace APO tuned to Harman Target, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra with Wavelet with AutoEQ and limiter on, wired with apple dongle

The new 650 from the Devialet 120 sounded cold, unexciting and veiled in comparison to another Senn’s I had with me at the time HD 250 Linear II (My Favorite Senn’s till date). Don’t get me wrong, the folks who like that sound signature, love them a lot. But for me it didn’t work as well. THIEAUDIO has announced the Hype 2 headphones. These are hybrid headphones with two dynamic 10mm... As successor to our popular HD 500 series, the Sennheiser HD 5 model range offers high quality and value in any aspect. Powered by Sennheiser’s proprietary transducer technology including the “Ergonomic acoustic refinement” (E.A.R.) design, which channels the audio signal directly into your ears. Featuring a contemporary design that is both attractive and ergonomic. A real treat for all, who listen to their music with a sense of discovery. These are pretty light and fit well on my head. The pads don’t make my head feel hot and are more comfortable than I thought they would be with the cloth ear pads, as my previous experience has been either foam or a vinyl type of pad. I like the fact that the ear pads are replaceable, but haven’t had them long enough for that. Now my question is, are they both sounds the same or is there any difference between those 2 models?? When I got the Hd599 i was quite dissapointed by the sound, i'm not sure if it's the headphone or the sennheiser sound signature. Is giving the hd600 a try? Money isn't a real issue, but i'm a bit skeptical since I didn't like the hd599 and i'm not sure how similar it is to the hd600. Should I give it a shot or just try a different brand Honestly I wonder why these cans aren't more recommended all over the place, these are ridiculously good even at 180€, far better than the 598CS and the classic 598. Even in gaming these are better than the 598 because the soundstage is more precise and more sperical compared to the regular 598 and their tunnel-like soundstage (at least that's what I remember from before I sold the old 598).

Sennheiser HD 599 review - Which?

The best gaming headphones IMO, are the ones that are best at reproducing binaural soundfields accurately. Newer game engines are becoming more realistic with spatial audio and headphones such as the 600 can actually create a more realistic sounding reproduction of a binaural sound field over the 598. It's the reason both HD700 and HD800 are good for gaming as well. I tried them while gaming as well and found the same issue I had with music listening were present there as well. Not clear enough to be a satisfying gaming headset for me.It's a necessary evil, where it overpowers the song but also contributes to the airiness and openness of the song itself.
