Super Smash Bros. Ultimate might be done getting new content after the release of Soralast year, but there’s still some things coming out of the game, like the release of new amiibo. The announcements from today's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate presentation just keep on coming, as Sakurai-san delivers the latest news on amiibo figures. ugh. Just like with Terry, I couldn't care less about these Amiibo. But I so far have a complete Smash collection, so of course I'm going to have to buy them :/

Nintendo is still busy producing amiibo for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and the next batch as you might recall are Steve and Alex from Mojang's survival, crafting and building game Minecraft.

YoshiF2 @sanderev actually, they’re not the same mold. It might not be very obvious, but Steve and Alex have slightly different body proportions. gaga64 I'm in the exact same position as you. Minecraft is an important enough franchise that I think it deserves a place with the rest of my Smash Bros. amiibo collection, but I don't really care that much about the game itself and have no interest in getting anything beyond the flagship character. Later in the interview, Sakurai reportedly told the publication that he did not believe the Smash Bros. series could continue without his involvement. Seeing how basic these are... they should have been 2 for the price of 1 .... kind of like Game & Watch ... in which his amiibo was so basic that they had to include more models/poses to make up for the price. I needed to vent, because I played Multiversus today for 4 hours straight...and this game is a blast!Earlier this year in February, these amiibo were delayed due to "logistics and production" issues, but now we've finally got an official launch date - confirming both of these amiibo will be arriving on 9th September.
