About this deal

Already a pivot of the Netflix series, Haas F1 boss Guenther Steiner now lets loose in his entertaining diary of 2022 Uncompromising and searingly honest, told in Steiner’s inimitable style, this is a fascinating and hugely entertaining account of the realities of running a Formula 1 team.

The book promises to be “uncompromising and searingly honest, told in Steiner’s inimitable style” and give fans a look at the inner-workings of an F1 team from the view of a team principal. 😂 Literally get me an interview with Guenther. Two aries in front of a camera, I promise it'll be a good time. If you put Oscar on there too, you'll have three aries. With all our different personalities it's bound to be chaos. People talk about football managers being under pressure. Trust me, that's nothing. Pressure is watching one of your drivers hit a barrier at 190mph and exploding before your eyes...”In addition to all of the above, one also learns a lot about running a Formula 1 team. Steiner not only describes his current job as the team principal of Haas F1 but his time in Rally and NASCAR and even how his current team was founded, as well. Guenther Steiner is one of motor racing's biggest and most celebrated characters, known to millions for his show-stealing appearances on Netflix's hugely popular fly on the wall series, Drive to Survive . Guenther Steiner is a very fun narrator and his spelling of certain words (fok, jeezuz christ, etc.) is also pretty hilarious. The book feels a little harebrained, and it feels more like the diary entries of an overworked team principal that have been tied together as a whole. Surviving to Drive” serves as Steiner’s diary of the 2022 season, during which Haas went through a turbulent pre-season, cutting ties with title sponsor Uralkali and driver Nikita Mazepin in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Uncompromising and searingly honest, told in Steiner's inimitable style, this is a fascinating and hugely entertaining account of the realities of running a Formula 1 team. People talk about football managers being under pressure. Trust me, that’s nothing. Pressure is watching one of your drivers hit a barrier at 190mph and exploding before your eyes…” This was SUCH an easy read. Even if you’re not heavily in to Formula 1, I still think this would be an interesting insight into how it all works and understand the struggles and challenges they face. Especially since it’s all told from the mind and eyes of Guenther Steiner. He is absolutely hilarious and just seems so genuine. If there is one adjective that sums up Guenther Steiner’s new autobiography entitled ‘Surviving to Drive’, it is straight-talking. Fearless and candid, Surviving to Drive reads like the night-time confessions of a football manager who is fighting to stay in the Premier League. A gleeful guide to a bonkers sport from a loveable rogue insider. Melanie Reid, The TimesGuenther Steiner has been the unlikely breakout star of the show and this book aims to cement his celebrity via a diary-style romp through the 2022 season.

It’s the hard work of everyone on our team that has returned us to the fight in Formula 1 and I can’t thank everyone who’s a part of Haas F1 Team enough for their efforts and dedication. People talk about football managers being under pressure. Trust me, that’s nothing. Pressure is watching one of your drivers hit a barrier at 190mph and exploding before your eyes…’ Mazepin was replaced by Kevin Magnussen, who took a stunning fifth-place finish on his return to Haas in Bahrain, and would later go on to score the team’s maiden pole position in Brazil. E L James revisits the world of Fifty Shades with a deeper and darker take on the love story that has enthralled millions of readers around the globe.Written like a dairy, Haas F1 Team’s principal Guenther Steiner takes us on a trip through the 2022 Formula 1 season. I am not a biography type of guy, but being a Formula 1 fan since young age this was a must read for me. The dairy style writing makes it so that it doesn’t feel like a biography but rather feels like an inside view of a team principals mind. PDF / EPUB File Name: Surviving_to_Drive_A_Year_Inside_Formula_1_-_Guenther_Steiner.pdf, Surviving_to_Drive_A_Year_Inside_Formula_1_-_Guenther_Steiner.epub If you follow Formula 1, and particularly Guenther Steiner, you'll probably know what to expect from this book. Plenty here that is not covered by F1 or Netflix - a really great insight into the team and also into Guenther’s motivations. We look like a bunch of legends‘!
