About this deal

Discover the enthralling fantasy world of gods and mortals in bestselling author Scarlett St. Clair's reimagined New Greece. Readers are "hopelessly addicted" to this captivating story of Hades and Persephone. For example, a game might have a 4-player co-op mode and a 6-player competitive mode. Is There a Limit to How Many Turns Can Be Taken in the Game The game ends when one player has captured all of their opponent’s pieces, or when one player has no pieces left to move.”

What It’s About: Hades, the God of the Underworld, meets with Sisyphus de Ephyra to deal with him over the business empire that Sisyphus has created, one that was built on drugs and the suffering of the individuals of New Greece. Sisyphus has broken one of the most ancient rules of hospitality–the law of Xenia–by killing his competition after inviting him onto his own territory. Hades warns Sisyphus that he will pay for the trespass, and tells him that he does not have much longer to live, as after all Hades can see the future of the souls.A Game of Fate is a game for two players. The aim of the game is to be the first player to achieve 10 points. In online games, the number of players that can play at once is usually determined by the game’s server capacity. For example, a game with a server capacity of 8 would allow up to 8 players to be logged in and playing at the same time. However, some games have different modes that allow for more or fewer players. For example, a game might have a 4-player co-op mode and a 6-player competitive mode.” The game of Monopoly has been around for over 100 years and there is no official limit to how many turns can be taken in the game. However, most people agree that the game should last between 1-2 hours. If you are playing with friends or family, you can always agree to set a specific time limit for the game. Despite her attraction to the god, Persephone, an ambitious journalism student, is determined to expose Hades for his cruel and ruthless ways. She defies him at every turn, even as the attraction between them explodes. I really loved A Touch of Darkness and wondered how different the story would be from Hades’ point of view. Turns out the answer is: A LOT! And all in a good way! I loved this book. It’s bolder, darker, sexier and much more grounded in lore and mythology. The gods play a central role and each has his own personality. I couldn’t get enough!

A Game of Destiny isn’t just a touch of darkness in Hades’ point of view, it’s actually an entirely different story. It’s like we’re getting a glimpse of what’s going on behind the scenes. Seeing the darkness in Hades, his lopsided moral compass, and the secrets he keeps and continues to keep from Persephone makes him a much more complex character. He is not just a sex god, he is a man with complex and insecure feelings who would do anything for his woman. I loved his interactions with Hekate and Hermes, who have officially become my favorite supporting characters. New scenes were added to the familiar ones, raising steam tenfold. Despite her attraction to the god, Persephone, an aspiring journalism student, is determined to expose Hades for her cruel and ruthless ways. She challenges him at every turn, even as the attraction between them flares. Nearly six months had passed by this point, and Persephone has fallen in love with Hades–Aphrodite had asked and found it to be true, so she shows up at Hades’ nightclub to tell him that he’s won the bet. But she reveals that she had told Persephone about the bet that she had made with him about having someone fall in love with him. This angers him, and he sees Persephone. They have sex but she gets angry at him about the whole bet, and the fact that she loves him despite everything. In anger, she makes vines grow out of the ground, trapping him, thus creating life. Her contract has been completed, and she is free to leave. Hades does not stop her even though it does gut him.

My Thoughts: I really enjoyed the book and I loved seeing this Greek Mythology stuff from the perspective of the God. Of course, there are some weird things that I’m questioning about it–apparently all the Gods and Goddesses have horns on their heads as a sign of Divinity, which I don’t recall being the case in the original myths, and Hades specifically can turn his fingers into screw-like spikes, which sounds terrifying and a bit ridiculous? But I really enjoyed his moody, and broody personality, and can’t wait to see more of him in the near future. In the blog post, the author discusses a game of fate that was played by two people. The game consisted of each person flipping a coin and whichever person got the most heads in a row won. The author notes that the game was fair and that both people had an equal chance of winning. They end up having a spat, and he wants to teach her a lesson so he revokes her favor that will not allow her to enter and leave the club and the underworld freely, and when they finally have the conversation, she asks him to also not walk away when he’s angry or hurt. He agrees to it, and they become closer. It can be found in ancient cultures all over the world. The Chinese have been playing variations of The Game of Life for centuries. The ancient Egyptians also had a similar game that was used to determine one’s social status and place in the afterlife.

And hotter. I don’t really recall A Touch of Darkness being this hot, but I’m all for the sex fest! I mean, can you really blame Persephone? I really don’t understand how she put up a fight for so long. Hades, God of the Underworld, is known for his inflexible rule, luxurious night clubs, and impossible bargains. Used to control, he is not prepared to discover the Fates have chosen his future wife and Queen—Persephone, Goddess of Spring.PDF / EPUB File Name: A_game_of_fate_-_Scarlett_St_Clair.pdf, A_game_of_fate_-_Scarlett_St_Clair.epub Some use tarot cards, others use astrology, and still, others use simple chance. The most popular Fate Games are probably those based on the board game known as The Game of Life. The concept of a Fate Game is not new, however. Each player has four pieces, which are placed on the four corners of the board. Players take turns moving one of their pieces along one of the lines on the board. The piece can only move in straight lines and can not go off the edge of the board. The goal of the game is to be the first player to score 100 points. Points are scored by rolling dice and moving around the board. The board is divided into four quadrants, each with its own set of rules. Players can also score points by completing tasks or challenges.” Take her, and I will destroy this world. Take her, and I will destroy you. Take her, and I will end us all."

A Game of Fate is perfect for anyone who loves new urban interpretations of mythology and legend, steamy and fateful romance, and morally gray heroes with their secrets at heart. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

After he sees the car carrying Persephone disappear around the corner, Minthe tells him that Thanatos, the God of Death, has been waiting for him in the Throne Room, so Hades teleports there. Thanatos gives him the news that the Fates are in an uproar, because Atropos’ shears had been broken, and together they head over to Fates’ island, where the Fates tell him that they went to cut Sisyphus’ thread, only for it to be reinforced and resulting to the destruction of Atrophos’ shears. They threaten him with unravelling the thread connecting him and Persephone if he is not able to get Sisyphus, and kill him. Hades does not want that to happen, so he goes to Hephaestus and asks him to repair the shears but also to create a weapon that does not kill but forces the person to tell the truth.
