Throughout five rounds, collect as much treasure as you can and hopefully have more than the other players by the end of the game. Sounds easy right? A few clever wrinkles in this game make getting out alive and laden with treasure, fraught with drama and indecisiveness.

The Diamant Board Game is a classic escape game for two to four players. It includes several components, such as dice, wooden cubes, cards with various action accomplishments, and a cloth bag containing gems made of glass and pewter ore. The board itself is illustrated with artwork featuring the various action possibilities available to each team or individual. Players must explore the castle in which they are trapped and attempt to escape by collecting resources (gems) by rolling the dice. If a player lands on an action accomplishment card they will receive either additional resources or points while they move around the game board. As they progress through the game, players must make strategic decisions about which actions will net them the most points and victory in their journey to freedom. Rather than having the board start with all six pieces in one location, you can instead create a variety of starting positions that are randomized each game or decided upon before beginning play. You can also adjust the number of guards (or pawns) each side starts with, which will affect both sides’ strategies throughout gameplay. Put all of the Rubies you gathered during the expedition in your Chest. Everything in your Chest is safe until the end of the game. Players must also bear in mind that each carriage has its own unique movement pattern. Diamant Board Game is a wonderfully exciting and challenging game that can easily be modified to make it even more intriguing. With these variations and modifications, the game will be more complex and provide an even deeper level of enjoyment for players. Each player chooses a color and takes the Chest and Explorer figure of the same color. Explorer figures must be visible by all players. What is smart about this though is the way the game constantly tempts you to leave. As the treasure cards come out the loot is divided amongst players. Any leftover, that cannot be evenly split is left on the card. When a player or players decide to leave they collect any loot on the way out, splitting it equally. I love watching other players around the table, judging if anyone will scarper out and wonder if it's worth leaving myself. I don’t like sharing the treasure with anyone!In Diamant players are exploring a cave or diamond mine; in Incan Gold, players are exploring a temple. Incan Gold comes with artifact cards, but Diamant does not. In Diamant, players have treasure chests; in Incan Gold players have tents at their camp. In Diamant, players are searching for diamonds, but in Incan Gold, players are searching for jewels and other gems. Barricade Tiles allow you to follow the progression of the game. They are numbered 1 to 5 and close the entrances to the Tacora Cave, one after the other, after each round.
