There are two main players in the instant camera market: Polaroid and Fujifilm. Both produce a range of cameras along with a range of corresponding, compatible instant film – you can’t mix and match. Oppo has chosen to include a 6.55-inch OLED on the Find X3 Neo. It has a 2400 x 1080 pixel screen, not the 1440p one found on the Find X3; and it has a 90Hz refresh rate, not the 120Hz of the Find X3 and the OnePlus 9 Pro. If you want to spend even less than that, then the OnePlus Nord is the best cheap Android phone at the moment. At 6.44inches, it has a slightly smaller screen than the Oppo Find X3 Neo 5G, and its performance is good rather than great. But take one look at the very reasonable price tag and you’ll see why. You do have to make some sacrifices in comparison to the Oppo Find X3 Pro yet I wouldn’t say they’re dramatic differences. This is a slightly more modest, smaller model which to be honest will be suited to far more people. It’s most definitely worth considering. Troubleshooting
The impressive specs continue with a hefty 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage (which isn't expandable). We're talking power user specs here, and even if the phone is slightly slower than the Snapdragon 888-powered Pro model, we don't think most users are particularly going to notice the difference. Those dimensions in full are 159.9 mm x 72.5 mm x 8 mm (that's 6.3 inches x 2.9 inches x 0.3 inches), and at 184 grams the phone is just a touch lighter than the Pro. Another difference from the Pro is that there's no IP68-rated protection against water and dust – that cost cutting has to come from somewhere, after all, so you'll have to be a little more careful when carrying the phone along the beach or across the bathroom. The Oppo Find X3 Neo speakers, too, are solid. There are two: one sits along the bottom edge of the handset, and you’ll find the other above the display. They aren’t quite as loud and beefy as those on the OnePlus 9 Pro – podcasts may struggle to compete with the sound of a kettle boiling 30cm away – but they’re punchy. This is one of the better hybrid zoom modes I’ve seen in a mid-range phone. However, in certain lighting conditions the Find X3 Neo seems to revert to using a crop of the primary sensor even at 5x, resulting in weird-looking oversharpened images. And, at times, there’s significant purple fringing at 5x. The user-selectable modes allow you to preset the focus for macro, standard or landscape shots, and the viewfinder automatically corrects for parallax while shooting macro photos. There’s also a “kid mode” that forces the camera to shoot at 1/400 for faster-moving action and “party mode” where flash is paired with longer shutter speeds for better-balanced low-light shots.
