Meanwhile, professional bamboozler Mirage (who has often been regarded as underpowered by the Apex community) has finally been given a complete makeover, with new abilities and serious improvements to his existing skills. His tactical ability psyche out, which pops out a decoy, now allows Mirage to control it by having it mimic his movements, and he can now release another decoy which simultaneously removes the previous one. Oh, and the decoys now last for 60 seconds. And, finally, to let players know when they've achieved a successful bamboozle, Mirage's "you got bamboozled" line will now occur when another player shoots a decoy. Now that's far more satisfying. Charge towers are new devices which give a full ultimate charge to nearby legends when activated. As both Skull Town and Thunderdome got destroyed when Loba blew up an underground bunker, there are several new points of interest on King's Canyon, such as Salvage and Offshore Rig. Depending on whether you're a Mirage or Pathfinder main, this is either the best or worst day of your Apex Legends career, as the season five patch has brought a raft of changes to the game's meta. It wouldn’t be as bad if Rival magazines were readily available…but right now, they’re hard to find from big retailers. Assuming things stay as they are, Hasbro may have shot themselves in the foot with this one. You can fix the issue, either with 3d printed shims or your own homemade version. While the arrival of the new legend Loba Andrade and significant changes to the now iconic King’s Canyon map have certainly been the driving force behind players’ excitement for the latest season of Apex Legends, what’s even more interesting to those players that actually pay attention to this stuff are the small changes to the game. The little buffs and nerfs to all the existing legends and weapons, the things that actually fundamentally change the game. While the changes made across the board to Apex Legends were pretty fair, one nerf in particular has sent a wave a sadness rippling throughout the community. Pathfinder has received arguably the harshest nerf in the game’s history, so bad that Reddit is currently holding a memorial of sorts for the beloved character. Designer Note: The hope for this rework is that it gives more depth to Mirage gameplay by giving Mirage players avenues to get better at Bamboozling people. Final Thoughts

It’s been a hot minute since the last external magazine-fed Rival blaster (the Finisher). So seeing them return, and on a pump-action blaster to boot, is a welcome sight. The Pathfinder places the magazine in a forward position, giving the blaster a unique look. Insertion and removal can be done at any point (primed or otherwise), as the magazine sits under the breech (not overlapping it as a dart blaster would). The blaster, in keeping with the accuracy theme, has adjustable iron sights, in case you feel like sniping your targets. At least, as close as you can get with foam ammo. Two dials work to raise/lower and shift the rear sight. We’ve overhauled the Deathbox UI to compartmentalize loot better so you can find what you need faster. Accuracy with the new rounds did seem slightly improved. However, at some point, I’ll need to set up an actual test for comparison. Until then, my evidence is strictly anecdotal. In addition, firing at targets at range will still be a challenge, especially outdoors with the wind. Rival balls float, and they’re pretty slow-moving by the time they get that far out. Internals
