If you need to tinker with settings to find better performance, try setting the EE Cycle Rate or EE Cycle Skip to a lower value in the System Settings menu though your results will vary by game. I do wish there was a way to change what art was in the thumbnail, it seems like it's a screenshot from the game by default but it would be nice to use the box art instead.
