About this deal

I cant promise that our rosehip liqueur will stop you catching a cold, but since it tastes delicious, it’ll certainly cheer you up if you do have one. This delicious, syrupy rosehip liqueur will continue to mature although it tastes fantastic from the start. It makes a lovely homemade gift, but I bet after you try it you won’t give a drop away!

The Buttery Nipple combines the sweet taste of Tequila Rose with buttershots liqueur to make a rich shooter that can only be described as naughty. Rosehips are traditionally harvested after the first frosts, which is said to soften them and improve their flavour. And if you fancy making a gin infusion without having to forage first, try our delicious Raspberry and Mint Gin and our mouth-watering Seville Orange Gin. Flowery spirits and liqueurs build the base of these drinks, often decorated with even more flowers used as a garnish. Roses and their rosehip berries have been used as food, medicine and in cosmetics for millennia. The ancient Greeks and Romans highly prized them for their health benefits. Because of its sweet and distinctive flavor, Tequila Rose is exceptionally good in shots and can even be enjoyed as a palette cleanser.

Just pop all your ingredients into a clean jar, and allow to sit for at least a month, shaking periodically. Then strain through muslin and bottle. We reserve the right to audit our suppliers operations to ensure compliance with the Act. Currently, audits are not regularly performed by the company or an independent third party. I am partial to a cup of rose flavoured tea, add rose water in some of my cooking and I particularly like my Sirop de roses (Rose syrup, mine is made in Lebanon) which I sometimes use to give a pink tinge and rose flavour to some of my desserts: home made ice creams, panna cotta, stewed fruit compotes (especially rhubarb or figs, or pears) or fresh fruit salads. Out of all the hedgerow liqueurs we make, Rosehip Liqueur is one of our favourites. In fact, it is currently hidden away to give it a chance to mature before hubby drinks it all. This simple hazelnut liqueur recipe only takes minutes to prepare but results in a deliciously rich and smooth nut flavoured liqueur that is perfect for gifting. The best thing about Tequila Rose is that it can make shots that simply taste like dessert. And this next recipe promises to deliver a shooter with all the sweetness of a Funfetti birthday cake. Frankly, it's hard to explain, and the answer is no obvious one. Probably, the perfumed alcoholic ingredients were somehow just forgotten. But with new products like St Germain and Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto, the floral vibe rose. What makes it special, I think, is it is made with a brandy base. The brandy, along with the added spices gives this Rosehip liqueur a much richer flavour than a Rosehip Gin or Vodka.

Note: I like to use Brandy to make this liqueur, but you can make Rosehip Gin and Rosehip Vodka in exactly the same way. Rose hips contain plenty of vitamin C, and before imported fruit and veggies were available, rose hip syrup was used to treat coughs and colds. But what floral liqueurs work best? And anyway, what floral liqueurs are there? Liqueurs made from flowers Liqueurs made from flowers and petals have been around for a long time. But it wasn't until the tremendous success of St Germain that those sweet, perfumed, and floral liqueurs gained traction. Only then did they become relevant in mixology.
