The Acer C720P transferred 5GB of mixed media files in 3 minutes and 43 seconds, equaling a rate of 22. Battery life is always best given as a range considering how much usage can differ and impact the battery, but the fact that when I went easy on it I could actually hit the quoted nine-hour battery life is a good sign.
The external hardware has improved with subtle changes, but the biggest improvement comes in the processor, which keeps the same great performance but bumps battery life by one or two hours — up to nine total. It's noticeably faster than Celeron-powered Chromebooks and may satisfy those who need a bit more power. It was a bit smoother than Celeron-powered Chromebooks like the C720-2800, but you'd need a critical eye to notice the difference. Of course, this removes all your files and settings so you may not want to do it very often but it’s nice to have the option. The performance is really great, battery life is good, it's built to take a beating and the keyboard is full-sized and easy to type on.
In the bottom-left corner, you'll find the app-launcher icon and a shortcut to the Chrome browser, while the time stamp, battery and Wi-Fi indicators live in the lower-right corner. If you've already had experience with Chrome OS-based laptops, but want a system with a bit more power for multitasking or working with multiple screens in Google Hangouts, the C720-3404 is worth a closer look.Briefly, TN panels are characterized as being the fastest and cheapest among the other main types of display panels. Arguably, the most useful apps and programs only run while connected to the Internet, even if there are a good number of offline apps available.
