About this deal

Bosch has made a nicely designed drill that allows you to work in confined spaces, whilst providing something that is comfortable to use, hold and grip in their PSB 1800 LI 2. This must be the smallest charger on my list, besides the Terratek 18V cordless drill that just plugs directly into the battery. Drills do require the ability to be able to drive fixings from time to time and it is personal preference on whether or not you prefer an impact driver for the job. The twenty pre-selectable torque (rotation) settings mean than you have the right power for every task. Select the drill mode for regular tasks or percussion mode to drill through wood, plasterboard or masonry.

You would be hard pushed to be completing a task that didn’t allow for you to work continuously rotating the batteries as they need charging with this Bosch Combi Drill. There’s plenty of room in the case for the tiny charger and more than two batteries, plus you can put the drill back with a bit still in the jaws. Unfortunately, the Bosch joins the DeWalt DCD796N when it comes to letting go of the trigger at full speed. These two Power Alliance batteries can fuel a range of tools by different brands, which is remarkable in the age of proprietary systems. Also, you get to save on costs with the combination since the tool comes at a reasonable pricing point. Some manufacturers will offer a direct repair or replacement service (as applicable) which will often resolve your problem more quickly. I removed this (still attached to the wires) and used a hair drier to blow it with hot air all over for a few minutes. It is well worth checking out if you are purchasing a combi drill for the first time and don’t yet have any drill bits.

With its 24 torque settings, you can use it as a power driver to remove even the most stubborn screws. You can get to work straight away thanks to two batteries, a fast charger, and even a double-ended screwdriver bit thrown in! To claim the full warranty a registration form may need to be completed - please check the paperwork enclosed with this product when purchased. The multitude of settings enables you to fine-tune the torque to your needs, be it simply putting together a flatpack wardrobe or removing tightly stuck, old screws when dismantling a bed frame. This cordless combi drill by Ryobi forms part of their ONE+ product line and comes with two batteries that you can use across other tools in the same range. In his spare time he enjoys testing the latest gardening equipment and sharing his experiences here on the site. It might not have the huge specs of the more professional DeWalt and Makita entries, but you get a pair of batteries and a decent case. If this drill model seems a bit too cumbersome there are mini cordless screwdrivers available from Bosch such as the IXO IV, which has had a makeover and is now 30 % more powerful than it originally was.

The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges.screwdriver bits L = 50 mm (PH 0/1/2/3, PZ 0/1/2/3, S 6, T 10/15/20/25, H 5/6), 34 screwdriver bits L = 25 mm (PH 0/0/1/2/2/3/3, PZ 0/0/1/1/2/3/3, S 3/5/7, T 10/10/15/15/20/20/25/25/30/40, H 4/5/5/6), 8 sockets Ø- 6/7/7/8/9/10/11/12/13 mm, 1 universal holder, 1 countersink, 1 ratchet screwdriver, 1 magnetic rod.
