I do not think this temperature difference can last long, but in any case, the tent is in my list of best dark rest tents. The tent is cooler for up to 5 degrees during the day, and it is warmer for 1 degree in the evening. I love the idea of blackout bedrooms as well, now if they could just make my children sleep past 6 I’d be able to get the full blackout benefit!It did take us a little longer for the first pitch as the bedrooms were not already attached but when we took the tent down we left them in for ease of pitching next time. I would describe it as a shelter for mild conditions and for summer camping or for two seasons maximum. So make sure that you check the actual dimensions, and do not rely blindly on the official capacity. The latter is supposed to be due to the warm air that remains trapped between the two layers, see the picture below.
