About this deal

Now, this case isn’t quite church mouse-level silent, but for an airflow-focused case, I’m quite impressed. The showstopper is the H7 Elite which has three RGB fans at the front of the case that provide an impressive lightshow. Our editors hand-pick these products using a variety of criteria: they might be direct competitors targeting the same market segment, or they could be devices that are similar in size, performance, or feature sets. Silent Base 802 or NZXT H7 Flow, but it's good to see lower temperatures all in keeping the same overall look of the existing H710. We'll map the results against some recently tested large ATX cases, some of which have at least a modicum of EATX support: Cooler Master's HAF 500, Corsair's iCUE 5000T RGB, Lian Li's O11 Dynamic EVO, and In Win's N515.

We rather like the minimalist approach to internal lighting of our finished test build, though users who prefer more flash are welcomed to pack the H7 Flow with LED fans on the top, front, and back. This won't be needed as even the more power-hungry Core i9 and Ryzen 9 processors will only really require a single 240mm or 360mm radiator, making this case ideal for AIO liquid coolers. To give some perspective, I was able to fit our triple-fan Gigabyte RTX 3070 Ti Gaming OC graphics card and Noctua U12S air cooler without any issues. A member of NZXT’s new H7 family, which includes a solid-faced H7 (standard) and a glass-faced H7 Elite, the H7 Flow is the "holiest" of the bunch, thanks to its perforated sheet-steel front. However, it does have an added vent on the rear side panel to allow air to enter, with two 120mm fans included as standard.A gap at the front of the power supply is big enough to hold a 60mm radiator with fans mounted on the opposite side.

The H7 Flow comes with two F120Q Airflow case fans and even though they’re just 3-pin, the F120s spun at a respectable 1,200 RPM and moved air in and out of the case effortlessly. Some builders have grown so accustomed to installing individual leads that they’ve not yet realized that Asrock, Asus, Gigabyte, and MSI have all been using this same nine-pin button/LED configuration for over a decade, even when additional pins are located to the right of the standard portion.Looking at the standard H7 chassis, we can see that the enclosure sits in the middle of the pack when looking at CPU thermals, and has relatively high GPU temps. Obviously, the H7 Flow has a perforated front panel, allowing the case’s front fan (or fans) to intake air directly from the front.

Again, it sits towards the bottom of our graphs, delivering results that are amongst the best cases that we have tested. inch-deep motherboard (which might be dubbed "EATX," though some EATX boards are bigger and won't fit) behind a removable cable-concealing shroud, along with enough room to mount a 60mm combination of fans and radiator over the motherboard. After unscrewing and removing the second and third slot cover, our ATX build slipped right into the H7 Flow with zero issues. And while it definitely succeeds in keeping component temps under control, the low noise levels it maintains under load help elevate the H7 Flow to a level of PC case excellence. For the H510 series, NZXT started off by launching their standard H510, later launching their enhanced H510i model, and later their H510 Elite. This maximises the H7 Flow’s air intake, making it the best performing H7 chassis in terms of cooling performance. Adding excellent performance to that solid foundation puts NZXT’s H7 Flow atop the pack and nets it the Editors' Choice win we mentioned up top.

Introduction - Three cases that cover all types of user NZXT H7 - Up Close H7 Flow - Up Close H7 Elite - Up Close Thermal Performance - Which model is the best? When we dug in further and found the specification of the fans made little to no sense it felt like 2019 all over again. A smaller rectangular hole further back allows screwdriver access to the drive cage’s release screw. We’ve updated our testing hardware to use Intel’s 12 Gen “Alder Lake” platform, which has shaken up the desktop landscape (and taken prominent spots on our best CPUs for gaming list).Available in black, white and black/white variations, the three cases offer a mix of high airflow, RGB lighting or clean aesthetics. With the previous H510 Elite and H710i leaving room for improvement, it's time to find out what NZXT is bringing to the table in 2022. For the optimized mode, we run the GPU fan speed at 30 % and run the CPU and included case fans at their lowest spinning speed. Our acoustic test consists of three scenarios: We run the CPU at full load, the CPU and GPU at full load, and an optimized mode.
