But this new dynamic to their relationship threatens to fizzle the sizzling desire that once held them in thrall to each other. The vulgar language thrown here and there, in my perspective, works really well to reflect the culture in the environment.

i was surprised as to the amount of prepackaged baloney that went into the creation of proposals, presentations, and prospectuses. It would have been far more realistic for her to keep believing in perfection only to have it squashed gradually (the keyword), hence leading her to her ultimate choice. Even if taken with a grain of salt, it struck the perfect balance between being outright hilarious and engaging, but also very informative and a form of a mid-late 20's/early career coming-0f-age story for the authors. For me, this worked given that anything more acerbic would have depressed me and made me less likely to want to work instead of being a timely reminder not to take corporate life too seriously. But one thing she knows for sure is that with the ratio of men to women she should definitely be able to snag a husband. Liked that it was not the predictable happy ending, but more of a what's-meant-to-happen-in-real-life sort of an ending.

Well, we didn't heed this sage advice, and we were so deep in our own garbage that we were suffocating underneath its weight. The book is written from the first-person point of view of two former Wall Street associates that eventually quit their jobs after spending two years living the life where you get average 4 hours sleep everyday and risk ruining all the important relationships in your life due to constant absences while continue to dream that one day you will be able to the achieve the banking dream of being rich and important. So this book was really interesting in the respect that it was written form the standpoint of 4 different students starting their masters in business school, and follows them through their first year. The story winds up in a way that mitigated my earlier dissatisfaction but I wouldn't recommend anyone else to rush out to read this book. Now sports agents Cassidy Whalen and Shaw Matthews are about to become the one thing they never expected to be: parents.
