Chill snowman heads last year after Christmas 2021 and being a tinkerer I cracked one open and found the 128MB (note it's MB not GB) SD card was removable. I opened them with Notepad and a Hex editor, but only the track titles were legible, the rest is gibberish. Not sure, haven't cracked them open because I assumed they would be the same as last years' until now. I know there are utilities out there which can make a bit-wise or bit-by-bit copy of drives, SD cards, etc. I don’t think the video player in this prop is a high definition projector but maybe it is, I haven’t opened my prop up yet.

Now seeing the Jack O Lantern above someone posted a pic of has an smd memory card, I don't know if it will work with that at all. The Toy Insider is an editorial site that receives free samples from manufacturers, but all editorial opinions are their own. I made a Madame Leota video to put on the SD card and people removed the snowman hat and turned it into a Leota prop. It's not even "security" for the users (like preventing having a camera hacked), it just makes it harder (maybe near impossible) for us to change the videos.This is surprising to me, and I feel like the "security" is just a byproduct of some bad design or something. I've seen another version that shows a Santa style cap and "30 Minutes Of Builit In Animations" printed on the box.

When I was experimenting with video formats/files, now and then it would do nothing, other times I'd hear audio but no video. But given some earlier attempts to move/copy files seem to have bricked they system, it seems the first thing to try would be to make a bit-by-bit copy of the original SD card.
