About this deal
Play in a Day is easy to use, with plenty of tips for selecting the right guitar, the correct amplifier, how to hold your instrument and plenty of tunes and exercises to get to grips with. Despite this critique of the logistics behind the ‘Drama’ performance, there is a particularly poignant moment during the play that is certainly worth mentioning. It was a bit of a risk booking with a new company but I would thoroughly recommend the ‘Play in a Day’ as a wonderful experience and good value for money.

The group, with the director, creates the entire play, from the start with the idea, to a performance-ready end; in the way the group collectively chooses; either in a performance for an invited audience, or just a run through for their peers to enjoy. Although the scope for opportunity is admittedly quite small, with only 6 graduates being able to benefit from the idea, I think the concept as a whole is a great way to raise awareness of the challenging reality for young performers. As well as his hits and TV appearances at a crucial time in modern music history, Weedon's best-known contribution to British guitar style is his tutorial guide Play in a Day, first published in 1957, [4] which many stars claim was a major influence on their learning and playing. They had no idea that it would become anything more than an inner London campaign to persuade boroughs to continue to support playgrounds and play centres. Herbert Maurice William Weedon, OBE (10 May 1920– 20 April 2012) was an English guitarist whose style of playing was popular and influential during the 1950s and 1960s. He makes it sound so easy that you wonder why companies bother with all that tiresome rehearsal business at all: surely it can't be as simple as all that?
