Now back to the topic there is a load of information in the old threads and a large amount of combined years have been taken by the contributors to produce such knowledge. During lockdown, we had some good fishing and one can only conclude that there are now more boats at sea. Interesting letter from Welsh Water received by some homes in Ross recently advising of details of road closures in the town. When that gentle initial tap on the fly develops into an all out 'screaming reel' war there's no way your heart will escape the accelerator pedal. I don't think that it is legal to deliverately target Shad with rod and line so, after getting 2 in successive casts, I left the water and watched the spectacle.
