About this deal

I will say one thing I LOVE about Lily Gold is how she continues the story for a few chapters after the plot.

When a trip to America sends the guys’ protective instincts into overdrive, the sizzling tension between us finally breaks, and I learn my bodyguards’ biggest secret: they want me. You want to read about a strong and vulnerable woman who never lets anyone walk over her, Briar is your person. When I started working at Salacious Players’ Club, I never expected to end up on the auction block ready to grant a date to the highest bidder. I can’t stand that in a FMC in general and even though I loved how she bonded with Glen, that’s just about it. With the premiere for my next movie coming up, will my three bodyguards be able to keep me safe from his clutches? Yo le admiro a esta autora el valor de hacer un cuarteto guarreril mezclando el sexo con una intriga de suspense y que no haya quedado eso en un lío de pies, manos y colas sin sentido. I am going to spend the next few weeks trying to find a book that will match this reading experience.

I guess I’ll just have to wait and see what she puts out next, and I promise you, I definitely will be watching for it. Pero la verdad es que ahí hay mucha gente y al final acaba cojeando en la parte amorosa, donde todo está metido con calzador. She has a soft spot for strong guys with big hearts, and thinks the only thing better than one book boyfriend is TWO book boyfriends. Again, this Lily Gold book didn’t work for me… I think that she’s at her best when she does lighter, funnier books - like Faking With Benefits or Nanny for the Neighbors. I have previously tried to read Faking with Benefits but couldn’t get into it, I’m going to go back to it at some point because of how good this was.I didn’t like a lot of the decisions she made, I didn’t like the way she spoke to people and I didn’t like the way she acted in general. Tess Owens is a confident, 33-year-old plus-sized divorcee daring to start her life over in a new job in a new city. If I guy I just met is being patronizing or just an ass in general, it’s not a turn-on, it’s just going to make me angry. Here is a quick description and cover image of book Triple-Duty Bodyguards written by Lily Gold which was published in 2021-4-19. What I really enjoyed about these men besides how much they loved going down on the FMC with no complaint, acting like she was an absolute snacc and they were starving (daily) was their insecurities. For those who love gritty, somewhat nasty mysteries with weird, and an exotic setting in one of the world’s most famous cities, this thriller mystery will satisfy. They were all dealing with their own sort of trauma and I’m always a sucker for a damaged character… but they were painted as these top notch bodyguards and then they kept making such stupid/rookie moves and acted like these broken little puppies who needed coddling - it was very contradicting to see them act the way they did when they were supposed to be this super elite security team. I didn’t like how she was the sexual aggressor with all the men… and it made me feel icky that she was so casual about it… I also didn’t like that she was sexually intimate with one and then coming on to the other without them knowing about it.

Violence is depicted in various ways including torture, stabbing, bombings, assault, attempted sexual assault, and other actions. The fact that Briar did not take any shit from the MMCs and demanded respect from them just made me so happy. It just wasn’t one of those deep, memorable stories-it was more a sexy, fun book that will probable not stick in my head the way I thought it would. When a trip to America sends the guys’ protective instincts into overdrive, the sizzling tension between us finally breaks, and I learn my bodyguards’ butterfly-inducing secret: they want me.

I dedicate my free time to consuming romance media, but I will admit that I sometimes hesitate when it comes to reading straight romance stories because I get so frustrated with the lack of agency given to FMCs. The characters are sensitively portrayed, as is their recovery, and the hopeful ending is realistic. Not to mention, while she does have some moments of reflection and personal growth, her core personality remains throughout the story.
